Beemo Teemo - Splash, Price & Chromas

First time I saw this skin pop up in patch notes back in May 2018, I thought Riot was trolling. A bee costume on the most hated champion in the game. Played maybe 30 games with it that first week in Diamond and honestly not gonna lie, the little guy grew on me fast. There’s something about watching a tiny bee waddle around top lane dropping shrooms that just hits different from every other Teemo skin.

What Beemo actually brings to the table

For an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, Beemo delivers. The model rework turns Teemo into a full-on honeybee with fuzzy stripes, translucent wings on the back, and a little stinger tail. His blowgun becomes this honey dipper thing. Clean design.

The VFX are where this skin earns its price. Q shoots a blob of honey that splatters on impact. Played against a Katarina last week who didnt even notice the blind particle because it blends with the golden theme so well. W activation gets these little pollen trails. E poison ticks leave sticky honey puddles on the ground, subtle but visible enough to track in lane. R shrooms become beehives, and when they pop, bees swarm out. Genuinely one of the better shroom redesigns across all Teemo skins.

The recall animation is the highlight for me. Teemo pulls out a honeycomb, does this little happy dance, and bees circle around him. Been spamming the recall in fountain after kills just to tilt the enemy jungler. Works every time in my Diamond games around 1 AM when people are already on edge.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Kinda feels like Riot could have added some bee puns or buzzing sound effects on abilities, but for 1350 RP thats a minor complaint. The base Teemo voice still works fine with the theme.

The Bees! skinline and Beemo’s place in it

Beemo dropped May 1, 2018. Part of the Bees! skinline, which started as this joke concept that Riot actually committed to. The Bees! line now includes skins like Yuubee, Beezahar, and Bee’Maw. Beemo was the first though, the one that proved the meme could sell. Esben Lash Rasmussen nailed the splash, the composition with Teemo surrounded by honeycombs and flowers captures the wholesome vibe perfectly.

6 chromas available. Obsidian is my go-to because the dark bee look reads like a carpenter bee and stands out hard on the Rift. Amethyst turns the whole scheme purple which honestly looks more like a fantasy insect than an actual bee. Rose Quartz is popular in my games, seen it maybe 4 or 5 times this season on enemy Teemos. The rest are fine but those three carry the chroma set.

The Bees! skinline occupies this weird space where it’s simultaneously a joke and genuinely well-executed. Real talk though, Riot putting actual effort into meme skins is one of the better things they do. Beemo still holds up six years later which says something about the design quality.

Should you buy Beemo?

Straight talk: if you main Teemo, this is a must-own. 1350 RP feels fair for the VFX package and the model quality. The shroom redesign alone changes how the skin feels in late-game teamfights when you’ve got the entire river covered in beehives.

Could be wrong here but I think Beemo edges out Little Devil and Omega Squad for best overall Teemo skin at this price point. Omega Squad has the military theme and the unique VO which is cool, but Beemo’s VFX are cleaner and more readable in chaotic fights. Little Devil is great thematically but the particles dont pop the same way (random aside: my duo partner has been a Teemo one-trick since season 7 and he rotates between Beemo and Omega Squad exclusively).

Shop has it, permanent availability, no vault rotation to worry about. If you play Teemo even occasionally in ranked or normals, Beemo is the skin. The chromas add longevity too. Lock in the Obsidian chroma and you’ve got a Teemo look that stands apart from every other bee running around on the Rift. Worth 1350 if you main Teemo, and honestly worth it even if you just pull him out for ARAM. Top pick for Teemo mains, no question.
