Beeko

First time I saw Beeko in the loading screen I thought someone was trolling me. Neeko dressed as a bee. Full commitment to the bit. Not sure if it’s just me but the Bees! skinline has this energy where Riot just said “we’re doing it” and nobody stopped them. Played against one in a Diamond ranked game last week and I couldnt stop laughing at the recall animation the entire laning phase.

What Beeko actually brings to the table

So this is an Epic tier Neeko skin. The whole model gets the bee treatment. Yellow and black stripes, little wings on her back, antennae headpiece. Neeko already has that playful chameleon vibe and layering the bee aesthetic on top works better than it has any right to. The color palette is warm, lots of honey gold and soft black accents across the outfit.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO here, which honestly fits fine because Neeko’s default voice already carries that bubbly curious energy that matches a bee costume. Her personality does the heavy lifting.

The skin doesnt ship with new VFX or a unique recall based on the feature set, which for an Epic is a bit of a letdown. Most Epics in 2024 and beyond pack at least particle changes on abilities. Beeko leans harder on the model and thematic commitment instead. Real talk though, the Q and E still read cleanly in teamfights, the hitboxes dont get obscured by the costume which is something I always check before locking in a new skin in ranked.

Been running this in my Neeko games for a while now and in lane specifically the model stands out against the Rift. The warm tones pop against green and grey backgrounds. Kinda feels like playing a different champion when the silhouette changes this much. Your W clone copies the bee look too, which means your passive disguise shenanigans get even funnier when the enemy team sees a bee-Neeko pop out of a bush.

The Bees! line and where Beeko fits

The Bees! skinline is one of Riot’s meme-tier thematics that somehow became a legit product line. You got Beezcrank, Bee’Maw, Beezahar, Yuubee, the whole crew. Beeko slots right in. The skinline doesnt take itself seriously and thats the entire point.

No release date in the official records I could find, which happens sometimes with newer additions to existing skinlines. Neeko has a solid skin catalog already with Star Guardian, Shan Hai Scrolls, and Bewitching all competing for your RP. The Bees! line targets a specific audience though. If you’re the type who runs Pug’Maw and Meowkai, this is your lane.

No splash artist credited in the data either. (Random aside: whoever painted that splash with Neeko surrounded by little bees deserves a raise because it radiates pure serotonin.) Zero chromas available for Beeko, which means what you see is what you get. No color variants to chase.

Should you grab Beeko?

Straight talk: Beeko is a novelty skin done well. It knows what it is. You’re not buying this for competitive edge or flashy particles. You’re buying it because you want to be a bee in Diamond solo queue at 2 AM on a Tuesday and confuse the enemy Katarina with your W clone buzzing around dragon pit.

For Neeko mains specifically this sits in the fun rotation slot. Star Guardian Neeko is probably the more polished Epic if you want VFX and the full package. Bewitching Neeko goes harder on the spooky aesthetic. But neither of those let you be a bee. That counts for something.

Been maining Neeko with this skin on and off since picking it up and the novelty hasnt worn off. Every game someone in all chat says something about it. Could be wrong here but I think thats the whole value proposition. It starts conversations. It tilts people who just got hit by your ult because they got outplayed by a bee. The Bees! skinline is comfort food for League players who dont want everything to be edgy dark cosmic whatever.

Skip it if you only care about particle effects and new VO. Pick it up if you appreciate Riot’s goofier side and you play enough Neeko to justify the slot. My go-to Neeko skin when I want to have fun in norms, and honestly its fine for ranked too. The model clarity is there, the peel and engage reads are clean, and your teammates will ping your emote approvingly. Maybe. Season 13 I think I had a support Neeko phase and Beeko carried the vibes through a seven game loss streak. Worth it for the mental alone.
