First time I saw Orbeeanna load into my game I thought someone was trolling. A bee Orianna. With a honeycomb ball. Played against it in a Diamond 2 game last spring and honestly could not focus on laning because the recall animation had me cracking up. Bought it that same night.

What the Bees! treatment does to Orianna

So the whole concept is Orianna as a queen bee, and the Ball becomes this chunky honeycomb orb buzzing around her. The new VFX sell it hard. Her Q sends the ball out trailing golden honey particles, W pulses out hexagonal patterns on the ground, and E’s shield wraps the target in this translucent amber glow. Looks clean in teamfights without being too noisy. Could be wrong here but I think the R shockwave is the highlight: the ball cracks open and bees swarm outward. Genuinely satisfying to land a 4-man ult with this skin specifically.

Base voice lines, no changes. Standard for a 1350 RP Epic. Not gonna lie, a bee-themed VO would have pushed this into best Orianna skin territory, but thats asking a lot for the price tier.

The recall animation is where Riot had the most fun. Orianna sits on a flower, the Ball transforms into a little beehive, and bees circle around her. Cute stuff. Been spamming the recall in lane just to tilt people in my ranked games. (Random aside: my duo partner who mains ADC refuses to play with me when I use this skin because the buzzing drives him insane.)

The Bees! line and release context

Orbeeanna dropped March 3, 2022. Season 12, right around the time everyone was losing their minds over the durability patch rumors. The Bees! skinline is one of Riot’s more creative thematic sets. Beezahar, Beezcrank, Bee’Maw, Yuubee, the whole crew. Kinda feels like the design team got free rein to just have fun, and it shows.

Mingchen Shen and West Studio handled the artwork. They nailed the splash. Orianna floating in a field of flowers with golden light pouring through, the Ball replaced by this perfect geometric honeycomb sphere. Strong composition that reads well even as a tiny thumbnail in champ select.

8 chromas total. Obsidian is probably the most popular pick I see in my games, turns the whole thing dark with purple accents which goes against the cheerful vibe but looks sharp on the Rift. Tanzanite hits a similar note with deeper purples. Rose Quartz is my personal go-to because the pink honey particles on Q and W look ridiculous in the best way. Not sure if it’s just me but the Pearl chroma feels like it should have been the base version, the white and gold palette is just clean.

Is Orbeeanna worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: if you play Orianna at all, this skin competes for top spot. Dark Star Orianna has the cool factor, Winter Wonder has the holiday nostalgia, but Orbeeanna has personality. Played maybe 150 games with it across two seasons and the VFX still make me smile. The shockwave animation alone is worth it for the dopamine hit when you catch three people in dragon pit.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on every ability, solid recall, 8 chromas if you want variety. Shop has it permanently so no rush. Skip the bundle unless you really want every chroma, just grab the base and maybe Rose Quartz or Obsidian separately.

For Orianna mains climbing through Diamond this season, Orbeeanna is S-tier. The particles read clearly in chaotic teamfights, the Ball is easy to track (important when you’re threading Q through a backline), and the skin just puts you in a better mood. Been daily driving this over Star Guardian since like October 2023. Hard to go back once you’ve seen bees swarm out of your ult. Worth every RP.
