Cottontail Teemo

First time I saw Cottontail Teemo in a loading screen I thought someone was trolling. A bunny suit on the most hated champion in League. Felt like a declaration of war. Been running this skin on and off since season 3, and honestly not gonna lie, there’s something about dropping shrooms in a fluffy rabbit costume that hits different when you’re tilting the enemy top laner off the planet.

The bunny that plants eggs instead of shrooms

Cottontail Teemo swaps the whole scout aesthetic for a full Easter bunny outfit. White and pink fur, big floppy ears, and the blowgun gets replaced with what looks like a carrot. Thats the charm right there. The Q dart fires with a slightly different particle, more pastel and round compared to base Teemo’s sharp green darts. His shrooms become painted Easter eggs scattered across the Rift, which is genuinely one of the funniest VFX swaps Riot ever did for a 975 RP skin.

The egg shrooms are weirdly harder to spot in river. Could be wrong here but I swear their hitbox visual blends into the grass texture better than default mushrooms. Had a game last week where their Kayn walked into three eggs in a row near dragon pit and just typed “ff” in all chat. Classic Teemo moment.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO. The auto attack animation feels identical to default. Movement is the same bouncy Teemo waddle but the bunny ears flop around which adds personality. No new recall animation either, this is a 2011 skin after all. Pre-6 laning with this skin just looks goofy, you’re poking with a carrot in a rabbit suit and the enemy has to take it seriously or lose cs.

Old skin, surprisingly good lineup

Released April 18, 2011. Yeah, over a decade old at this point. Jem Flores nailed the splash, the composition with Teemo mid-hop carrying an egg basket still holds up. Part of the Cottontail skinline which also includes Cottontail Fizz. The line leans full Easter theme and Teemo was the original pick for it, which makes sense because Riot knew exactly what they were doing putting the most annoying champion in a bunny costume.

5 chromas available. Amethyst gives him this purple bunny look that reads like a villain arc, my personal favorite. Rose Quartz is the pink option, leans hard into the cute factor. Speckled goes dark, almost inverts the whole vibe into something slightly menacing on a Teemo which is hilarious. (Random sidebar: my duo partner refuses to play with me when I use the Speckled chroma because he says it looks cursed.)

975 RP for a Standard tier skin with custom VFX on the shrooms. Shop has it, permanent availability. For context, most skins at this price point from 2011 barely changed the model. Cottontail Teemo got egg shrooms and carrot particles which was generous for the era.

Should you buy Cottontail Teemo?

Real verdict: if you play Teemo at all, this is one of the essential pickups. 975 RP feels fair for what you get. The egg shrooms alone justify it, they’re iconic at this point. Every Teemo main I’ve run into in Diamond has this skin in rotation somewhere. Been daily driving it again this season after cycling through Little Devil and Beemo for months.

The skin aged well because it committed to a simple concept and executed it cleanly. No overdesigned VFX, no clutter. Just a bunny planting eggs across the map while the enemy team slowly loses their minds. Spammed this in maybe 15 ranked games last Tuesday through Thursday and won lane in most of them. Coincidence, sure, but the mental warfare of Cottontail Teemo is real. Skip it only if you already own Omega Squad or Little Devil and genuinely dont care about the meme factor.
