First time I saw Badger Teemo was back in like season 2, maybe season 3. Someone on the enemy team locked it in and I remember thinking it was one of the weirdest costume choices Riot ever made for a yordle. A badger. For Teemo. Not gonna lie, it grew on me over the years though. There’s something about the pure simplicity of older skins that hits different when everything else in the game is covered in particle effects and transformations.
What Badger Teemo actually looks like
This is a Standard tier skin from the earliest days of League, so set expectations accordingly. Teemo gets a badger-themed outfit: black and white color scheme on his suit, the hood shaped to resemble badger ears. Thats pretty much it. No new VFX on his Q, no updated shroom visuals, no fancy recall animation. Base voice lines, no changes. The auto attacks look the same, the Move Quick trail is the same, the mushrooms are the same mushrooms you’ve been stepping on since 2009.
Kinda feels like Riot just threw a costume on him and called it a day. Which, to be fair, they did. That was the standard back then. 750 RP got you a model swap and maybe a texture change. Playing this skin in Diamond lobbies last season, I got exactly zero comments about it. Nobody notices. Nobody cares. And honestly that’s part of the charm.
The color palette works well enough on Summoner’s Rift. Black and white reads cleanly against the green of the jungle and the river. When you’re splitpushing top or placing shrooms in choke points, Badger Teemo blends into the Rift’s neutral tones better than base Teemo does. Could be wrong here but I think the darker outfit actually makes him slightly harder to spot in bushes during ganking setups. Placebo maybe. Still feels real in my games.
The history behind this one
Badger Teemo dropped January 13, 2010. Early League. Season 1 hadn’t even properly started yet. Roanna Peroz and Kudos Productions handled the splash art, and for 2010 standards it looked fine. The splash got updated at some point with Teemo’s ASU work which cleaned it up considerably.
Part of the Legacy catalog, so you cant just walk into the shop and grab it. Sits in the vault. You either need to wait for a Legacy sale event or get lucky with Hextech crafting. Been maining Teemo on and off for years and I only got this skin from a random chest drop around late 2021 I think. (Random aside: I have seven Teemo skins and this is the one I use least but refuse to disenchant.)
No chromas available. Not surprising for a skin this old at this price point. The Legacy skinline has a bunch of these early skins that Riot pulled from the permanent shop years ago.
Should you care about Badger Teemo?
Real verdict: this is a collector’s skin. Pure and simple. If you’re a Teemo one-trick trying to own every skin in the champion’s lineup, Badger Teemo is one you’ll want eventually. But if you’re looking for actual visual upgrades for your ranked games, for your lane prio plays and late-game splitpush sessions, there’s better options. Omega Squad Teemo exists. Little Devil Teemo exists. Spirit Blossom Teemo exists. All of them give you new particles, new sounds, new recalls.
750 RP is fair pricing for what this is. A simple costume change on a champion who already has a massive skin catalog. Skip it unless you’re completing the collection or you genuinely love the badger aesthetic. Played maybe 30 games with it total across all seasons and I keep going back to Beemo or Omega Squad for serious ranked sessions. Badger Teemo lives in the ARAM rotation for me. Vault rotation skin, occasional nostalgia pick, nothing more. Top pick for Teemo collectors only.
