Not gonna lie, when I first saw Panda Teemo in the shop back in season 2, I thought it was one of those joke skins Riot would forget about. Cute panda suit on the most hated champion in the game. But after locking it in for maybe 40 ranked games one summer, the thing grew on me. Hard. The skin has this weirdly wholesome energy that makes getting flamed for playing Teemo in ranked feel slightly less awful.

What Panda Teemo actually changes

So the big thing here is the model rework. Teemo’s wearing a full black-and-white panda onesie with the hood up, bamboo blowgun replacing the standard dart shooter. Clean design. The proportions work surprisingly well on Teemo’s tiny frame, and the panda ears on the hood dont clip through anything which is more than I can say for some newer skins.

VFX got a refresh too. The Q poison dart has a slightly different particle trail, and the shrooms from R leave a greenish bamboo-themed puff when they pop. Subtle changes. Not the kind of thing you’d notice in a hectic teamfight around dragon pit, but in lane phase when you’re placing shrooms in the river brush, you catch it. Been running this skin in Diamond and honestly the shroom particles feel slightly less visible to enemies, though thats probably just confirmation bias on my part.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO, which at 975 RP is expected. No new recall animation either. You get the standard Teemo recall, panda suit and all. Kinda feels like the model and VFX carry the entire skin on their own, and for a Standard tier release from 2012, they do enough.

The Wonders of the World line and release context

Panda Teemo dropped July 9, 2012. Season 2 era. Back when 975 RP actually got you something decent. Kudos Productions handled the artwork, and the splash captures the vibe perfectly. Teemo sitting in a bamboo forest with that smug look. (Random aside: this splash was my desktop wallpaper for an embarrassingly long time in college.)

Part of the Wonders of the World skinline, which is one of Riot’s smaller thematic sets. The line never really took off the way something like Project or Star Guardian did, but Panda Teemo stands on its own regardless. Shop has it, permanent availability, so no vault anxiety.

No chromas on this one. What you see is what you get. Black and white panda with green bamboo accents. Simple.

Should you buy Panda Teemo?

Real verdict: 975 RP feels fair for what you get. The model is distinctive, the VFX tweaks are a nice bonus for a Standard skin, and the panda theme ages well because it’s not tied to any specific event or meta trend. Played maybe 200 games with this skin across multiple seasons and it still holds up against newer Teemo options.

Could be wrong here but I think this sits comfortably in the top half of Teemo’s skin roster. It’s not competing with Omega Squad or Little Devil for best Teemo skin full stop, those are different price tiers with way more features. But at the 975 RP bracket, Panda Teemo delivers. Last Tuesday I played three games back to back with it in bot lane specifically as Teemo ADC (don’t judge) and the skin just reads cleanly against the Rift background. Good contrast.

Skip it if you already own Beemo or Spirit Blossom Teemo and only want one Teemo skin in rotation. But if you main Teemo and cycle through skins depending on mood, this one earns a permanent slot. Worth 975 RP if you main Teemo. Simple change – huge impact on how the champion feels in game.
