Bird of Prey Anivia

Been maining Anivia on and off since season 3 and this is one of those skins that just sits in your collection quietly being solid. Bird of Prey Anivia doesnt try to reinvent anything. No flashy particles, no new VO, no recall animation. Just a clean reskin that changes how Anivia looks on the Rift and honestly thats enough sometimes.

What Bird of Prey Anivia actually brings

This is a Standard tier skin at 520 RP so expectations need to stay grounded. You get a full model swap and that’s it. Voice lines stay base. No new VFX on Q, W, E, or R. The color palette shifts Anivia into this brown and gold hawk-inspired look. Kinda feels like they took a red-tailed hawk reference photo and said “yeah, put that on the ice bird.” The feather patterning is tighter than base Anivia, more realistic bird anatomy if you squint.

Real talk though, in lane the skin reads cleaner than you’d expect for 520 RP. The warm browns contrast against Summoner’s Rift pretty well. Played maybe 30 games with this skin last month around 2 AM grinding ranked and the model holds up even zoomed in during teamfights. Not sure if it’s just me but the egg passive form looks slightly different too, more earthy toned. Could be wrong here but it feels distinct.

No chromas available for this one. Shame, because a white snowy owl variant would have been perfect. But for a skin from 2010 you take what you get.

The Wonders of the World skinline and some history

Bird of Prey Anivia released May 2, 2010. Early League. Season 1 era. The Wonders of the World skinline is one of Riot’s smaller thematic collections and honestly I forget it exists half the time. It’s not Arcana or Spirit Blossom with massive skin drops. More like a quiet nature-themed set that Riot did back when skins were simpler.

No splash artist credited in the data which tracks for skins this old. Riot’s early splash art pipeline was a different beast entirely. (Random aside: I still think the old splash arts from 2010 have this charm that modern ones lost somewhere along the way.) The splash itself shows Anivia mid-flight with the hawk coloring on full display. Decent composition for its age.

Shop has it permanently. 520 RP, available any time you want it. No vault rotation, no loot exclusive nonsense. Just open the shop and grab it.

Should you pick up Bird of Prey Anivia?

Straight talk: if you’re an Anivia one-trick looking to fill out your skin collection this is an easy pickup. 520 RP is basically nothing. You’re not getting Blackfrost Anivia level production here, no new voice filter, no reimagined abilities. But for the price point Bird of Prey Anivia delivers a clean model change that looks good in game.

Had this in rotation for a while alongside Divine Phoenix and Cosmic Flight. When I want something low-key in my Diamond games I lock in Bird of Prey. The warm tones just hit different after spamming ice-themed skins for months. Skip it if you only buy Legendary or higher. Worth 520 RP if you main Anivia and want variety without dropping serious cash. There’s worse ways to spend the cost of a chroma on a skin that actually changes your whole model. Solid budget pick, been saying that since season 9 I think or maybe 10 dont remember exactly.
