First time I saw Noxus Hunter Anivia in a loading screen I had to double check the name. Not gonna lie, it caught me off guard because Anivia repping Noxus colors feels wrong on a lore level. She’s Freljord through and through. But here we are, season 1 Riot doing whatever they wanted with skin themes. Played against one last Tuesday in a Diamond ranked game and it still looks clean for what it is.

What Noxus Hunter Anivia actually changes

This is a Standard 520 RP skin from 2010 so keep expectations in check. You get a texture swap and thats about it. Anivia’s model shifts from the icy blue palette to deep reds and blacks. Think Noxus military colors. The wings pick up this dark crimson that reads well against the Rift, especially on Summoner’s Rift’s green grass sections.

No new VFX. Your Q still looks like the default ice ball, your R still drops the same blizzard circle. Voice lines stay base. No recall animation changes either. Kinda feels like Riot just ran the model through a color filter and shipped it. But for a skin from August 24, 2010, that was standard practice. Every champ got a recolor or two and people were happy about it.

The egg passive keeps the red theme which is a nice touch. When you die and go into egg form the color shift carries over. Been maining Anivia on and off since season 3 and I appreciate when even cheap skins remember the egg exists. Some newer skins forget about passive interactions entirely.

The Legacy line and where this skin sits

Noxus Hunter Anivia is part of the Legacy catalog. Sits in the vault. You cant just go buy it any random afternoon. Riot rotates Legacy skins back into the shop during special events, or you might roll it from Hextech crafting if you’re lucky. Seen maybe 2 of these in my games all season, possibly three.

Released August 24, 2010. That puts it in the first wave of Anivia skins ever made. No splash artist credited in the data, which tracks for that era. Riot’s early splash art was handled internally and credits werent always tracked. The splash itself is simple – Anivia in the red color scheme against a dark background. Does the job.

(Random aside: the Noxus Hunter name implies Anivia is hunting Noxians, not that she joined Noxus. Took me like three years to realize that. The red color scheme really threw me off.)

Should you grab Noxus Hunter Anivia?

Real verdict: this is a collector’s skin. Pure and simple. If you one-trick Anivia and want every skin in your collection, you wait for a Legacy vault opening or pray to the Hextech gods. 520 RP is fair for what you get. But if you’re looking for the best Anivia experience in lane, Blackfrost or Divine Phoenix will serve you better in every way.

The Noxus color scheme is the main selling point. Red Anivia looks cool in teamfights, the dark wings pop during wall placement, and the egg form carries the theme. Could be wrong here but I think the red actually makes her harder to track in chaotic late-game fights around dragon pit. No new VO, no chromas, no VFX changes. For Anivia mains who want something different without dropping 1820 RP on a Legendary, and who happen to catch it when the vault opens – worth picking up. Skip it if you already own three or more Anivia skins and dont play her in ranked regularly.
