The Porcelain skinline takes Lunar New Year aesthetics and applies this delicate ceramic art style to champion designs. On Miss Fortune it works surprisingly well. February 22, 2024 release. Augusto Quirino and West Studio did the splash showing MF in porcelain-styled armor with twin pistols decorated in blue-white ceramic patterns. The whole thing looks like a museum piece that can kill you. Which I guess is the point. Locked this skin in immediately after release and spammed it for maybe 15 ranked games straight that weekend.
Ceramic firepower in bot lane
The model gives Miss Fortune this refined East Asian-inspired outfit with porcelain armor elements and weapons decorated in blue ceramic patterns. The auto attack animation fires with a porcelain shatter effect on impact. Love Tap passive procs with a subtle ceramic crack visual which is honestly a really clean detail for an Epic tier skin. Double Up on Q bounces between targets with a porcelain projectile trail. The bounce kill feels satisfying with the ceramic shatter on the second target. Kinda feels like you’re throwing fine china at people in lane.
Make It Rain on E drops a zone with ceramic tile fragment particles. The slow area has a subtle pattern on the ground that looks like broken porcelain. Bullet Time on R channels a barrage of porcelain-shatter projectiles across a cone. The visual is distinct from base and the ceramic fragment effects covering the R zone read differently than standard MF bullet effects. Using R in a teamfight choke creates this spreading field of blue-white ceramic particles that lingers briefly.
Nine chromas: Ruby, Rose Quartz, Tanzanite, Obsidian, Peridot, Emerald, Turquoise, Pearl, Sapphire. Peridot shifts to a jade-green ceramic palette which matches the Lunar aesthetic perfectly. Obsidian goes dark and creates this striking contrast against the ceramic patterns. At 1350 RP, available any time in the shop. Part of the Porcelain skinline alongside Porcelain Kindred, Lux, and others from the 2024 Lunar New Year event. Voice is unchanged from base. Sarah Williams’s Miss Fortune voice applies. New recall with porcelain tea ceremony animation that feels elegant without being over the top.
Real talk though, the Strut on W animation with this skin has MF moving with this confident walk that pairs well with the refined porcelain look. Not sure if it’s just me but the movement feels smoother on this skin than on some of her older Epic options. Could just be the visual design tricking my brain but I notice it every time I switch back from Captain Fortune or something older. (random aside: my ADC duo partner bought every single chroma for this skin the day it dropped and he doesnt even play MF that often)
Another MF skin worth owning
Yes Miss Fortune has too many skins. Everyone knows this. But Porcelain earns its spot because the ceramic aesthetic is genuinely different from everything else she has. At 1350 RP with 9 chromas the value is strong. The Peridot chroma specifically might be the best looking individual MF skin variant in her entire catalog. If you play ADC and MF is in your rotation, Porcelain is a recent and well-made option. 1350 RP well spent for mains who want something that stands out in the bot lane without being a full Legendary investment.
