First game I played with Porcelain Lissandra was a late night ranked session, maybe 1 AM on a Wednesday. Locked her in, loaded up, and the splash alone had me sold before minions spawned. Lissandra has always been one of those champions where skins either nail the frozen mage vibe or just slap a new coat of paint on ice. This one does something different. The whole porcelain ceramic aesthetic trades the usual cold darkness for something elegant, almost regal. Been running this in Diamond for a while now and I think it holds up better than most of her catalog.
What Porcelain Lissandra actually changes
The model is the star here. Lissandra’s silhouette gets a full porcelain treatment with flowing white and blue robes, gold trim detail, and this ornate headdress that reads cleanly even in teamfights. Not gonna lie, the in-game model looks more expensive than 1350 RP. The blue-white palette pops against the Rift without being distracting, which matters when you’re trying to land W on a diving Kayn at dragon pit.
VFX got a proper overhaul. Her Q sends out these porcelain shard fragments that shatter on impact. Feels crisp. The W ring has this ceramic bloom effect, subtle but noticeable. E is where it gets interesting – the claw travels with trailing blue-gold particles that look hand-painted. Kinda feels like Riot’s art team had extra budget that patch cycle. Her ult encases targets in what looks like a porcelain vase cracking apart. Clean execution.
The recall animation ties the whole theme together. Lissandra sits with a tea set, very on-brand for the Porcelain line. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, but honestly the base voice works fine with the aesthetic. (Random aside: I screenshot the recall animation for my Discord server and people thought it was fan art.) The sound design on abilities leans into ceramic clinks and chimes rather than the usual ice cracking, which gives the whole kit a different feel in lane.
The Porcelain line and where this fits
Porcelain dropped January 26, 2022. Season 12. Jiunn Kuo and West Studio handled the artwork, and they captured something special with the composition. The Porcelain skinline pulled from Chinese ceramics and Lunar New Year themes, and Lissandra was one of the original batch alongside Kindred, Lux, and Ezreal.
The line works because it doesn’t try too hard. Could be wrong here but I think Porcelain Lissandra is one of the stronger entries in the set. Lissandra’s base design already has that regal ice witch energy, so translating it to porcelain feels natural. Not forced like some thematic crossovers where you can tell the champion wasnt the first pick for the skinline.
9 chromas total. Obsidian goes full dark mode and honestly reads like a completely different skin in game. Amethyst shifts the palette to deep purple which hits the mage fantasy harder than base. Golden Tiger is the event-exclusive one, gold and jade tones that lean into the Lunar New Year roots. I keep coming back to Obsidian personally, the contrast against the white porcelain details is sharp. Pearl exists too but its basically the base skin with slightly different highlights, skip that one.
Is Porcelain Lissandra worth 1350 RP?
Real verdict: this is a top pick for Lissandra mains. Played maybe 40 games with it across two patches and the VFX clarity is solid. You’re not losing any gameplay readability, which matters when you’re trying to catch flanks or peel for your ADC in late-game teamfights. The Q particles track well, the W boundary is clear, ult reads instantly.
For 1350 RP you get new model, new VFX, new recall, and a skin that actually fits the champion’s identity. Standard Epic pricing, above-average skin. Shop has it permanently. If you’re comparing against Coven Lissandra or Dark Cosmic, those are strong competitors, but Porcelain offers a lighter aesthetic that none of her other skins touch. Been maining Lissandra with this since season 12 and I still havent rotated off it for more than a week. If you play Lissandra in ranked at all, this one earns the slot. Skip it only if you already own Coven and refuse to spend more on one champion.
