Been waiting years for Twitch to get a Pool Party skin. Literally years. The rat finally showed up to the pool and honestly? Kinda feels like Riot knew exactly what they were doing dropping this at the end of April 2025. Right before summer, right when everyone’s thinking about the beach event skins again. Played maybe 15 games with it so far since it dropped April 30, 2025 and I have thoughts.
What Pool Party Twitch actually brings
So this is a Standard tier skin with Special pricing, which already makes it interesting. New VFX on the abilities. The Q stealth shimmer has this watery ripple to it that honestly looks cleaner than base. Not a massive overhaul but you notice it. W contaminate puddle looks like a splash zone now. Fits the theme.
The recall animation is new too. Twitch pulls out a water gun, sprays it around, does his little rat laugh thing. Short and sweet. No new voice lines though – voice stays default. For a Standard skin thats about what you’d expect. You’re not getting Legendary treatment here.
Could be wrong here but the auto attack particles feel slightly different. Might just be the color shift messing with my perception. The crossbow is reskinned into some kind of water blaster contraption, which tracks for Pool Party. In lane specifically, the bright colors make last hitting feel a little different visually. Took a few games to adjust my cs rhythm.
(Random aside: my duo partner thought this was a custom skin the first time I locked it in. Had to explain Pool Party Twitch is actually official.)
The Pool Party line and release context
Pool Party is one of Riot’s longest running skinlines at this point. Been around since what, season 3? The line has some bangers. Pool Party Lee Sin, Pool Party Renekton, those are classics. Twitch joining the roster feels overdue.
Yuyu Wong and Kudos Productions handled the splash. They captured the grimy pool rat energy perfectly. Twitch sitting by the pool with that suspicious grin, holding what I think is a contaminated pool noodle. The composition works. Shop has it right now, permanent availability.
No chromas on this one. Zero. For a Standard skin that’s not unusual but I wouldn’t have minded a couple options. Maybe Riot adds some later, maybe not.
Should you pick up Pool Party Twitch?
Real talk though. If you main Twitch and you’ve been running the same skin for three seasons straight, this is a solid rotation option. The new VFX on W and the recall give it enough personality to feel fresh without being distracting in teamfights. I’ve been queueing ADC around 1 AM lately grinding ranked and Pool Party Twitch doesnt get old yet.
Special pricing means it’s not your standard 975 RP grab. Worth checking the shop for the exact cost. For Twitch mains who like the lighter aesthetic over something like Omega Squad, this hits different. Not gonna lie, it’s not his best skin ever. Omega Squad and Shadowfoot both go harder on the fantasy. But Pool Party Twitch has a fun casual energy that works when you’re not trying to be edgy about your rat assassin pick. Fair price for the package. Lock it in if you want something lighthearted for your Twitch games this season.
