Pool Party Skins

All 26 skins in the Pool Party skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Pool Party skin in League of Legends.

Pool Party is the skinline I look forward to every summer. Not gonna lie, something about seeing champions in swim trunks and bikinis throwing beach balls on the Rift just hits different after a long ranked grind. The whole line leans into this bright, tropical, vacation energy that Riot nails almost every time. 26 skins deep now, stretching all the way back to 2010, and the roster keeps growing. Some of these are genuinely top-tier cosmetics. Others feel like filler. But the vibe? The vibe is consistent. Sun, water, pool floats, and a surprising amount of personality crammed into what could easily be throwaway joke skins.

What Makes Pool Party Stand Out on the Rift

Kinda feels like every game has a "fun" skinline. Arcade does it. Bee skins do it. But Pool Party got there first and honestly still does it best. The visual signature is obvious: water splashes replacing ability VFX, tropical color palettes heavy on turquoise and coral, and recall animations that usually involve some kind of pool toy or beach activity. Every skin in the line shares that same sun-soaked warmth in the splash art. Bright skies, clear water, sandy beaches.

What ties it all together isnt just the theme though. Its the particle work. Epic tier Pool Party skins get custom water-based VFX on abilities, and they read cleanly in teamfights without being too noisy. Compare that to something like Ocean Song, which goes for a similar aquatic feel but leans way more into the pop-star angle. Pool Party stays grounded. Literally just a day at the beach.

The splash arts deserve their own mention. Riot has built this whole connected beach scene across multiple splash pieces, so if you line them up you get this massive pool party panorama. Braum grilling in the background, Ziggs cannonballing, Leona lifeguarding. Its like a Where's Waldo of League champions. (Random aside: I had the Leona splash as my desktop wallpaper for an entire season and nobody at work questioned it.)

Color palette wise, the line sticks to a pretty tight range. Lots of aqua blues, sandy yellows, bright pinks on the accessories. The water effects tend toward a clean cyan that pops against Summoner's Rift green. Even the oldest skins in the line hold up visually because water VFX age better than, say, techno stuff from the same era. Could be wrong here but I think the simplicity of "splash = water" just gives Riot's VFX team less room to mess up.

Best Pool Party Skins Worth Locking In

Gonna be real, picking favorites from 26 skins is tough but some clearly stand above. Pool Party Lee Sin is the one I see most in my Diamond games and for good reason. The Q connects with a beach ball impact sound, the ult kick sends a wave splash behind the target. Clean animations, reads well in lane and in teamfights. Been spamming this one in ranked since maybe season 6 and it still feels fresh.

Pool Party Leona is the support pick. The shield is literally a beach umbrella. Her E launches a pool noodle. Its so stupid and I love it. Every time I peel for my ADC with this skin equipped it just feels less tilting when the play goes wrong. Hard to be mad when you're smacking people with an umbrella.

Pool Party Gangplank surprised me. Wasnt expecting much from a pirate in board shorts but the barrel VFX with water explosions actually looks better than half his other skins. The orange he eats in his W is replaced with a coconut drink. Small detail. Huge payoff. Played maybe 40 games of GP with this skin last summer and the barrels just feel smoother, placebo or not.

Pool Party Caitlyn is clean. Sniper rifle replaced with a water gun, traps are sandcastles. The ult charges up with this water pressure sound effect that honestly makes it more satisfying than base. Top pick for Caitlyn mains who dont want to run the Legendary.

Not sure if it's just me but Pool Party Taric might be the funniest skin in the entire game. The man is out here in a speedo flexing on everyone. His abilities shimmer with this pool water refraction and the recall has him doing poses on the beach. I've seen maybe 5 Taric players total this season and three of them were running Pool Party. Says something.

Honorable mentions go to Pool Party Renekton, who trades his blade for a giant foam pool noodle (the bonk sound on auto attacks is chef's kiss), and Pool Party Ziggs, whose bouncing bombs are literal water balloons. Both of these are from the earlier batches and still hold up.

The Champion Roster: Who Fits and Who Feels Forced

26 champions is a big roster. Some natural fits, some weird picks. Miss Fortune, Caitlyn, Leona, Fiora - these make sense. Champions with strong visual identities that translate well to beachwear. Braum shirtless with a grill? Perfect. Draven catching axes that are now pool toys? On brand.

Then you get the weird ones. Pool Party Rek'Sai. A void creature. At the beach. Could be coping but I think Riot was going for the "shark at the pool" angle and it works better than it should. The burrowed form looks like a sand shark fin cutting through the ground. Not gonna lie, it grew on me after seeing it in a few games last season around July.

Syndra feels slightly forced. Dark sovereign of power... in a swimsuit throwing beach balls. The VFX save it because the orbs as beach balls is genuinely funny but thematically its a stretch. Zoe fits better because shes already chaotic and playful, so a pool party version just amplifies that energy.

Sett is the newest addition and honestly he slots in perfectly. Big brawler dude at the beach? Hes basically the guy who starts a volleyball game and takes it way too seriously. Real talk though, his W VFX with the water wave is one of the better Pool Party ability effects they've done.

Who should be next? I keep saying Illaoi. Tentacles as pool noodles or water slides. Riot is leaving money on the table. Nautilus with a pool float anchor. Thresh with a beach rope. The engage supports write themselves for this skinline and more.

Tier and Price Breakdown

Here's where Pool Party keeps it accessible. No Legendaries. No Ultimates. No Mythics. The whole line is either 975 RP Standard or 1350 RP Epic. That's it. 19 Epics and 7 Standards. The oldest ones from 2010-2012 sit at 975 and the newer releases are all 1350.

Might be overthinking it but the lack of a Legendary actually hurts this line. Imagine a Pool Party Legendary with full new VO where the champion is just complaining about sunburn and wanting to go back inside. The comedy potential is right there. Every other major skinline has at least one Legendary by now. Pool Party has been running for 15 years without one.

Price range of 975 to 1350 means the whole set is budget friendly. You could own five Pool Party skins for the price of two Legendaries. For mains who play multiple champions in this line, thats a solid deal. The 1350 Epics all come with custom VFX, sounds, and recall animations. Standard stuff for that tier but Pool Party executes it well because the theme gives the VFX team so much to work with. Water effects, beach sounds, tropical music on recall. Fair price for the package every time.

Pool Party Skins: Frequently Asked Questions

How many Pool Party skins are there?

26 Pool Party skins total as of 2025. The line started back in 2010 with the earliest releases and Riot has been adding new ones pretty consistently every summer. Some years they drop two or three at once, other years just one. Been watching this line grow since I started playing ranked and it just keeps expanding.

What is the best Pool Party skin?

Pool Party Lee Sin gets my vote. The beach ball Q, wave ult, and clean animations make it the most polished in the line. Pool Party Leona is a close second for support mains. Honestly comes down to which champion you actually play. Could be wrong here but Lee Sin has the highest pick rate of all Pool Party skins in my games for a reason.

Which champions have Pool Party skins?

Big roster. Lee Sin, Leona, Caitlyn, Miss Fortune, Braum, Gangplank, Sett, Fiora, and a bunch more. 26 champions total. The line covers every role so whether you play ADC, support, top, jungle, or mid theres probably a Pool Party option for at least one of your mains. Rek'Sai is the weirdest inclusion. Void shark at the beach.

Does Pool Party have Legendary skins?

No Legendaries in Pool Party. The whole line is Epic (1350 RP) or Standard (975 RP). Honestly think this is a missed opportunity from Riot. A Legendary with full new voice lines playing into the beach comedy would sell like crazy. Maybe someday. For now the Epics carry the line and they do it well enough at 1350.

When did the Pool Party skinline release?

First Pool Party skins dropped in 2010. That makes it one of the oldest skinlines in League. Surfer Singed was part of that first wave. The line has been getting new additions almost every summer since, with the most recent ones landing in 2025. 15 years of beach episodes. Think about that for a second.

Are Pool Party skins worth buying?

For the 1350 RP Epics, yeah. Custom water VFX, unique recall animations, beach-themed sound effects. Good value. The 975 Standards are more basic but still fun if you like the vibe. I think Pool Party skins are worth it if you play the champion regularly and want something lighthearted. Not every skin needs to be dark and edgy.

Do Pool Party skins have chromas?

Several of the newer Pool Party skins have chromas available. The Epic tier releases from roughly 2017 onward tend to come with chroma packs. Earlier ones from 2010-2015 mostly dont. If chromas matter to you, check the specific skin. Some have solid options, others skipped the chroma treatment entirely. Obsidian chromas on beach skins feel weird but they exist.

Will Riot make more Pool Party skins?

Almost certainly. Pool Party has been a consistent summer release for over a decade. Riot knows it sells. Take this with a grain of salt but leaks and community wishlists always have Pool Party near the top for summer events. Illaoi and Nautilus are the most requested additions from what I see on Reddit. Just a matter of when not if.
