First time I saw Kingpin Twitch was back in like season 2 or 3, dont remember exactly. Some random support Twitch in my ranked game popped out of stealth with this skin and I had to look it up after. The whole mob boss rat concept just works for Twitch in a way that feels obvious once you see it. Been a fan of this one since.

What Kingpin Twitch actually changes

Real talk though, this is a 520 RP Standard tier skin from 2009. You’re getting a model swap and thats about it. No new VFX on Q stealth or W cask. No fresh particles on E Expunge or his R Spray and Pray. Voice stays default. No recall animation update either.

What you do get is Twitch in a pinstripe suit with a cigar and a fedora. Mob boss energy. The crossbow gets a slight visual update to match the theme. Kinda feels like Riot took the “plague rat in the sewers” fantasy and said what if he ran the sewers instead. The color palette shifts from green-purple to darker tones, more blacks and grays. Clean look for 2009 standards.

Not gonna lie, the model holds up better than some other skins from that era. Played maybe 30 games with this one last month in Diamond and the silhouette reads well enough in teamfights. You can still tell its Twitch from the backline, the hat gives him a distinct profile when you’re trying to track him coming out of Q in a late-game fight around Baron pit.

The Bilgewater connection and release history

Kingpin Twitch dropped November 20, 2009. Early League. Xi Zhang handled the artwork and honestly for a skin that old the splash holds a certain charm. Rough around the edges by modern standards but it captures the vibe.

The skin sits under the Bilgewater: Burning Tides skinline which makes sense thematically. Crime lord rat operating out of Bilgewater’s underworld. Fits cleaner than some of the other Bilgewater roster picks if you ask me. Zero chromas available, which is expected for a skin this old at this price point.

Availability is Legacy vault. So you cant just walk into the shop and grab it. Sits in the vault, comes around during special events or you get lucky with Hextech crafting. (Random aside: I got mine from a reroll back in season 11, three skin shards and boom, mob boss rat.) This makes it slightly rarer in practice even though its not a premium skin by any stretch.

Should you pick up Kingpin Twitch?

Verdict time. At 520 RP this is fair for what you get. Standard pricing, standard delivery. No new VO, no particles, just a solid model change. If you’re a Twitch main grinding ranked and you want something different from base without dropping 1350 on an Epic, this does the job.

Could be wrong here but I think Kingpin is one of those skins that gets better the less you care about flashy VFX. Some games around 1 AM last Tuesday I was just vibing in solo queue with this equipped and the simplicity felt right. No distracting particles, just clean autos and good cs. The Bilgewater fantasy carries it.

Skip it if you need new animations or ability effects. Pick it up if you see it in Your Shop or roll it from a chest. For Twitch one-tricks specifically there’s worse options in the catalog. Not the best Twitch skin full stop, but it earns its spot in the rotation.
