First time I saw Crime City Twitch loading in, I thought someone modded a 1920s gangster movie into the Rift. Twitch in a pinstripe suit with a tommy gun crossbow. Not gonna lie, there’s something about a rat in formal wear that just works. Been running this skin since maybe season 4 or 5, dont remember exactly, and it still gets comments in lobby chat.

What the skin actually changes

So Crime City Twitch swaps out the default sewer rat look for a full mobster outfit. Pinstripe suit, fedora, the whole deal. His crossbow gets reskinned into something closer to a tommy gun shape which honestly changes how the champion feels in lane even though mechanically nothing is different. Base voice lines, no new VO. Standard 975 RP package from 2010 so temper expectations.

No new VFX on any abilities. Your Q stealth, your W cask, your E Contaminate, your R Spray and Pray – all default particles. Kinda feels like Riot could have at least tinted the poison green to something more thematic. Maybe a cigar smoke effect on the Q or something. But this was early League, skins were mostly just model swaps and we were happy about it.

The recall is base too. No custom animation. You press B and Twitch does his normal thing. For context, most skins from this era work the same way. The value here is entirely in the model and the splash.

Real talk though – the silhouette change on the crossbow is the highlight. In teamfights when you pop out of stealth behind the backline and start spraying, that tommy gun shape reads so clean. Had a game last week where I flanked through river around 2 AM in a Diamond ranked session, popped R behind their ADC and support, and the Crime City model just looked right for that ambush playstyle Twitch mains live for.

The Crime City line and release context

Crime City Twitch released October 13, 2010. Early days. The Crime City skinline is one of Riot’s older thematic lines and Twitch fits it naturally. A literal rat going full mafia boss. The line includes other champions like Miss Fortune and Graves and later got the Crime City Nightmare expansion with Akali and Darius, but the original batch has that classic vibe.

Izzy Medrano handled the artwork. The splash captures the mood – Twitch lurking in some back alley looking like he’s about to collect a debt. Zero chromas on this one which is a shame because a black and gold variant would go hard for the gangster theme.

(Random aside: I used this splash as my Discord avatar for like three months straight and nobody recognized it was Twitch.)

Shop has it. Permanent availability at 975 RP so no vault rotation stress. Could be wrong here but I think this is one of the better value picks in Twitch’s catalog for the price point.

Should you buy Crime City Twitch?

Verdict time. 975 RP feels fair for what you get. The model swap carries hard even without new particles or voice lines. If you’re a Twitch one-trick grinding ranked and want something with personality that isnt just recolored base, Crime City delivers on the fantasy. The tommy gun crossbow alone changes how satisfying it feels to cs in bot lane.

Skip it if you already own Omega Squad or Ice King – those have actual VFX work and feel more modern. But if you want a clean classic skin with character, this Standard tier pick earns its spot in the rotation. Been coming back to it between newer skins for years. There’s maybe 975 RP worth of charm stuffed into that pinstripe suit and I think most Twitch mains would agree.
