Nightbringer Evelynn

First time I saw Nightbringer Evelynn load in during a ranked game, I had to double-take. The splash caught me off guard in champ select. Not gonna lie, Evelynn already has some strong skins competing for the slot, but the Nightbringer and Dawnbringer line does something different with her silhouette that none of the others really attempt.

What Nightbringer changes on Evelynn

So the model itself leans hard into the dark celestial fantasy. Evelynn’s lashers get this corrupted energy treatment, dark reds and blacks swirling through them. Looks clean in motion. The color palette shifts away from her usual purple-pink toward deeper crimsons and obsidian tones, which honestly reads better against certain map areas – especially around dragon pit and the river.

Base voice lines, no changes. Standard for an Epic skin at this price point. Her passive camouflage still looks distinct enough from default that you can tell the difference, which matters when youre trying to track her in a teamfight. The demon shade form picks up some of that Nightbringer energy and the shift between visible and camo feels smoother visually than a few of her other skins.

Q feels snappy. The hate spikes carry that dark red particle trail and theres a weight to them that base Evelynn doesnt quite have. W mark visuals pop against the Rift floor, which is actually functional – easier to track your charm timing in lane ganks. E and R keep the Nightbringer aesthetic consistent. Her ult in particular, Last Caress, has this dramatic burst of dark energy on the execute that looks satisfying when you delete a squishy backline carry. Played maybe 200 games with this skin across two seasons and the R animation never gets old.

Could be wrong here but I think the recall is base on this one. Fair warning for anyone who cares about that stuff.

The Nightbringer and Dawnbringer skinline

The Nightbringer and Dawnbringer line is one of Riot’s bigger thematic universes. Champions like Yasuo, Lee Sin, and Kayn got Nightbringer versions too, and the whole concept of cosmic order versus chaos gives artists room to go wild. Evelynn fits the Nightbringer side naturally. She’s already an assassin who thrives in darkness and preys on isolated targets, so the thematic overlap is almost too easy.

(Random aside: my duo partner who mains support refuses to play with me when I lock in this skin specifically because “the red particles make it look like youre always ulting” – take that as you will.)

Kinda feels like Riot designed this skin knowing Evelynn one-tricks would gravitate toward it. The dark aesthetic matches how most Evelynn mains think about the champion anyway. Been running this in Diamond for a while now and I see maybe one other Nightbringer Evelynn per week. Not super common, which is a plus if you care about standing out in the loading screen.

Should you pick up Nightbringer Evelynn?

Real verdict: this is a solid Epic tier skin. 1350 RP is standard pricing for what you get here. No new voice lines, which keeps it from competing with her Legendary options, but the visual package is cohesive. Every ability reads clearly and the Nightbringer theme doesnt fight against Evelynn’s kit identity the way some skinlines force champions into awkward fits.

If you main Evelynn and already own K/DA ALL OUT or Coven, this becomes a rotation piece rather than a must-buy. But if you’re looking for your first Evelynn skin beyond default, Nightbringer Evelynn is a strong pick. Shop has it. I’d rank it mid-to-high in her skin catalog – not the absolute best Evelynn skin, but comfortably above average.

Last Tuesday I was jungling against an enemy Evelynn running the base skin and the visual difference when we both hit level 6 and started contesting ganks was pretty stark. Nightbringer just looks more polished in those pre-6 skirmishes and late-game dive scenarios. Worth 1350 RP if you main Evelynn, especially if the dark cosmic vibe speaks to you more than the pop star aesthetic. Skip it if you only play her occasionally though – at that point just stick with whatever you already have.
