K/DA Evelynn

K/DA Evelynn was part of the original K/DA wave that dropped alongside the POP/STARS music video at Worlds 2018. November 3, 2018. Evelynn in a purple pop star outfit driving a sports car in the music video. That visual alone sold probably a million copies of this skin worldwide. Multiple splash artists including Alvin Lee, Pan Chengwei, and Bo “chenbowow” Chen worked on the group splash. The individual Evelynn splash with the neon purple car is iconic.

Pop star assassin vibes

The model puts Evelynn in a sleek purple outfit with K/DA branding and pop star accessories. Glasses pushed up on the forehead. The lashers, those demon tendrils that extend from her back, are redesigned with neon accents. The stealth form when Evelynn is in Demon Shade has purple neon particle effects that look distinct from base. Walking around the map in Demon Shade with this skin has a different feel – the neon shimmer on the stealth boundary makes you feel more like a predator stalking the Rift. Which is exactly what Evelynn is doing pre-6 while waiting for her ult to come online.

Hate Spike on Q fires neon projectiles with K/DA-themed trail effects. Allure on W marks a target with a heart-shaped K/DA indicator before the charm procs. Whiplash on E dashes forward with neon lash effects. Last Caress on R executes low HP targets with a dramatic neon slash across the screen. The execute below threshold has an especially flashy effect. R through three people in a teamfight with this skin and the triple neon slash visual is one of those moments where everyone in the game notices.

No VO refresh on this one. Mara Junot’s Evelynn voice applies and honestly it still works because Evelynn’s base voice already has that seductive confidence that fits the pop star persona. New recall with a K/DA-themed animation where she poses with the group branding. 1350 RP, no chromas on the original K/DA version. Part of the K/DA skinline. Shop has it permanently. K/DA Evelynn in the crowded Evelynn catalog

Evelynn has Coven at Legendary tier which is her premium option. K/DA ALL OUT is the updated K/DA variant. Sugar Rush, Blood Moon, and others fill out the Epic tier. Original K/DA holds a special place though because it was the launch skin for the entire K/DA brand. Theres a nostalgia factor that later releases cant replicate.

At 1350 RP its a straightforward Epic purchase. If you play Evelynn jungle and the K/DA aesthetic appeals to you, grab the original or the ALL OUT version depending on which design you prefer. Coven is the better skin overall but K/DA is the one with cultural weight behind it. Different reasons to own each. Had a game last Friday night where an Evelynn with this skin ganked my lane at level 6 and the neon charm indicator on W was somehow more tilting than getting killed. Something about getting assassinated by a pop star while you’re trying to cs in peace.

Real talk though, for Evelynn one-tricks who have been playing her since before the K/DA era, this skin represents a turning point in the champion’s popularity. Evelynn went from niche jungle pick to one of the most recognizable champions in League partly because of this skin and the music video. 1350 RP well spent if you care about that history.
