Safecracker Evelynn

First time I saw Safecracker Evelynn load in, I thought someone on the enemy team was running a custom skin. The heist aesthetic caught me off guard. Not gonna lie, for 750 RP this one punches in a weird weight class where you’re not expecting much but still walk away with something that feels distinct from base Evelynn.

What Safecracker Evelynn actually changes

This is a Standard tier skin at 750 RP so temper expectations accordingly. No new VFX on Q, W, E, or R. Voice lines stay base. No updated recall animation either. What you get is a full model swap and thats about it. Evelynn trades her demon succubus look for a cat burglar outfit – tight black bodysuit, mask, the whole heist fantasy.

The lashers get a sleek metallic redesign that reads well in teamfights. Been running this in Diamond games around season 5 and 6 when Evelynn was a different champion entirely, pre-rework obviously. The silhouette change is noticeable enough that enemies sometimes hesitate for a split second when you come out of stealth. Could be wrong here but I think the darker color palette actually makes her harder to spot in river compared to base.

For a skin with zero ability changes, the model work carries it. The mask especially. Gives Evelynn this calculated predator vibe instead of straight demon energy. Playing this skin in a late-game comp where you’re flanking the backline, the thematic just clicks. You’re literally the assassin sneaking past wards.

The Cops and Robbers line and release context

Safecracker Evelynn dropped November 28, 2014. Late season 4. The Cops and Robbers skinline is one of those smaller Riot collections that never really expanded into a massive universe. Think Officer Vi and Officer Caitlyn on the cop side, then Safecracker Evelynn on the criminal side. Simple concept, executed clean.

No splash artist credited in the data for this one, which happens with older skins sometimes. The splash itself is solid for 2014 standards – Evelynn crouched in front of a vault, lashers wrapped around the door. (Random aside: this splash was my desktop background for like two weeks back in college, the composition is genuinely good.)

This was pre-rework Evelynn, remember. The skin got updated when Evelynn received her full VGU in patch 7.20, October 2017. The rework actually improved how Safecracker looks in game because the new model rigging is way cleaner. Lucky break for anyone who already owned it.

Should you pick up Safecracker Evelynn?

Real verdict: 750 RP feels fair for what you get. Permanent shop availability means no rush. If you main Evelynn and want variety in your rotation without dropping 1350 or 1820 on something like Coven or K/DA, Safecracker fills that budget slot. I kept coming back to this one between seasons 7 and 9 specifically because it felt less tryhard than her Legendary options.

The Cops and Robbers fantasy is niche but charming. Not every skin needs to be a cosmic entity or a music universe crossover. Sometimes you just want your jungle assassin to look like she’s about to crack a vault at 2 AM on a Tuesday night. Played maybe 200 games with this across multiple seasons. The lack of new VFX hurts it compared to modern 750 RP skins, but the model quality post-rework holds up fine.

Skip this if you already own K/DA All Out or Coven Evelynn – those are objectively more polished. But for Evelynn mains building a collection, or if you just want something different for normals, Safecracker is a clean pickup at its price point. Might be overthinking it but I think this is one of those skins that ages better than people expect. Simple concept, no bloat, just a good model swap that respects the 750 RP tier.
