Constable Trundle

First time I saw Constable Trundle in a loading screen I genuinely thought someone was trolling. A troll dressed as a cop, swinging a truncheon instead of his ice club. Thats the whole pitch and honestly it works way better than it should. The Cops and Robbers line doesn’t get much love from Riot these days but this one still holds up in my book.

What actually changes on Constable Trundle

So for a 750 RP Standard tier skin you get a full model swap and some adjusted VFX. Trundle trades his cave troll aesthetic for a proper British bobby outfit. Dark blue uniform, the classic custodian helmet, and his pillar weapon becomes this oversized police baton looking thing. Solid concept.

The VFX tweaks are subtle but noticeable. His Q auto feels different visually when you proc it, though I might be overthinking that. The pillar on E still reads clearly in teamfights which matters a lot for a Trundle player. Not gonna lie, I was worried the pillar would look too goofy to take seriously in ranked but it reads fine. Been running this in Diamond games and nobody has ever missed a pillar call because of the skin.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO here which is expected at this price point. The recall animation is also default Trundle. Simple change – huge impact on the visual identity though. Playing this skin in the jungle, the contrast between the silly cop outfit and Trundle’s aggressive ganking style creates this funny disconnect that I kind of love. You know what surprised me? How clean the model looks even by modern standards. November 2014 release and the textures still hold up in lane.

The Cops and Robbers line and release context

Constable Trundle dropped November 28, 2014. Late season 4 if I remember right. Part of the Cops and Robbers skinline which also has a couple other skins but honestly Trundle might be the best executed of the set. The whole theme is Riot doing comedy skins and Trundle fits that vibe naturally because his character already has that trickster energy.

No chromas on this one. Zero. Which is a shame because I think a high-vis yellow chroma or a detective noir variant would go hard. Maybe someday. No splash artist credited in the data I can find, but the splash itself captures the comedic tone well. Trundle looking all authoritative with his baton raised.

Shop has it. Permanent availability at 750 RP so you can grab it whenever. For context thats cheaper than most skins Riot puts out now. Season 12 prices make this feel like a steal looking back.

Should you pick up Constable Trundle?

Real verdict: if you play Trundle jungle or even Trundle top as a splitpush threat, this skin is a solid pickup for the price. 750 RP feels fair for what you get. The model is distinctive, it reads well in comp teamfights, and it has personality that some of his other skins lack.

Compared to Dragonslayer Trundle which costs more and goes for the serious fantasy route, Constable is the opposite energy. Could be wrong here but I think comedy skins age better than edgy ones. Last Tuesday around 2 AM I was grinding ranked and locked in Constable Trundle three games in a row. Won two of them. The skin didn’t help my jungle clear or anything but the mental boost of playing a cop troll who bonks people with a baton is real.

Skip this if you want flashy VFX or new voice lines. Pick it up if you main Trundle and want something lighthearted in rotation. Been daily driving this alongside Worldbreaker and keep coming back to the constable outfit. For Diamond Trundle mains specifically, the pillar visibility is good enough for competitive play and the peel animations look clean. Worth 750 RP if you main Trundle, no question.
