First time I saw this skin pop up in the Mythic shop rotation, I thought Riot was just doing the standard golden prestige treatment. Slap some white and gold on an existing skin, call it a day. But Prestige Bewitching Miss Fortune actually surprised me. The color shift from the base Bewitching’s purple-orange Halloween palette into this warm champagne gold hits different than most prestige skins. Not gonna lie, I wasnt expecting to like it as much as I do.
What Prestige Bewitching Miss Fortune changes on the Rift
So the base model swaps out the witchy purples for a cream-and-gold scheme. Miss Fortune’s hat gets this elegant redesign with golden accents, and her outfit goes full luxury witch. Think less spooky, more high fashion. The guns especially look clean with the gold plating.
VFX got the prestige treatment across the board. Her Q bounces leave these golden sparkle trails instead of the orange pumpkin effects from base Bewitching. Feels satisfying to watch in lane when you’re poking with Double Up. The W passive proc shows gold particles on hit, subtle but noticeable if you’re paying attention. E drops golden rain instead of candy corn or whatever the base version uses. Pretty.
Her R is where the skin earns its keep though. Bullet Time sprays these wide golden waves across the teamfight and honestly the visual clarity is better than base Bewitching. Played maybe 30 games with this skin last season in Diamond and I could track the cone better. Could be wrong here but I think the particle density is slightly different. Either way, ulting into a clumped team around dragon pit with those gold bullets flying feels premium.
New recall animation stays. Miss Fortune does the witch broom pose from the Bewitching line but with golden sparkles instead of purple magic. Voice lines stay base, no VO refresh on this one. Standard for prestige skins from this era.
The Bewitching line and how this prestige fits
Released April 1, 2022. Late season 12 if I remember right. Sanhua Chen and Kudos Productions handled the splash, and they captured this golden luxury vibe perfectly. The splash composition keeps the Halloween energy from the original Bewitching Miss Fortune but elevates it. Check Kudos Productions’ portfolio, this splash lives there alongside some of their best work.
The Bewitching skinline is one of Riot’s seasonal hits. Started as a Halloween cash grab but grew into something with actual identity. Miss Fortune already had the base Bewitching skin which was solid on its own. This Mythic prestige version takes that foundation and just refines everything. No chromas on this one, which makes sense for a prestige.
Pricing is Special since its a Mythic tier skin. You cant just drop RP on it in the regular shop. Sits in the vault most of the time, rotating through the Mythic shop when Riot decides to bring it back. Hextech crafting only these days unless it shows up in rotation. (Random aside: I keep 150 Mythic Essence banked specifically for when skins like this cycle back.) Been seeing fewer of these in my ranked games compared to when it first dropped. Maybe two or three all season in Diamond elo.
How it stacks up against other Miss Fortune skins
Miss Fortune has one of the biggest skin pools in the game. Gun Goddess exists as her Ultimate. Captain Fortune is the lore pick. Star Guardian is the weeb choice. Real talk though, Prestige Bewitching Miss Fortune sits comfortably in the upper half. The gold aesthetic reads cleanly against Summoner’s Rift greens, which matters more than people think when you’re cs-ing in bot lane.
Compared to base Bewitching, the prestige version loses the Halloween flavor but gains elegance. It’s a tradeoff. If you want spooky witch Miss Fortune, stick with the original. If you want the cleaner, more refined look, the prestige is the play. I keep coming back to this skin specifically during ranked sessions because the VFX dont distract me during teamfights.
One thing that bugs me: the model sometimes blends into certain map skins during late game. Around 2 AM last Tuesday I lost track of my own champion during a baron fight because the gold tones merged with the river lighting. Niche complaint but worth mentioning.
Should you grab Prestige Bewitching Miss Fortune?
Verdict time. If you main Miss Fortune and you see this in the Mythic shop, grab it. The VFX upgrade over base Bewitching is noticeable, the model looks premium, and the golden color scheme ages well. Kinda feels like Riot put more effort into this prestige than some of the 2022 batch.
For ADC players who dont one-trick Miss Fortune, its harder to justify spending Mythic Essence on this over other prestige options. The skin is good but not transformative. No new voice lines, no form changes, just a very polished visual upgrade. S-tier Miss Fortune cosmetic for mains, solid mid-tier pickup for everyone else. If you play enough Miss Fortune in ranked to justify the Mythic Essence, this one earns it. Otherwise save your essence for something you’ll actually lock in every game.
