First time I saw Feral Warwick in a loading screen I thought it was a custom skin someone modded in. Wild look. The whole concept takes Warwick and strips him back to something more primal, more beast than man, and honestly thats exactly what the champion fantasy should feel like when you’re chasing someone down at 20% HP across the map.

What Feral Warwick actually changes

So this is a 975 RP Standard tier skin, which means you’re not getting a full rework of the champion model. But Feral Warwick does come with updated VFX, which is more than a lot of skins at this price point deliver. The particle work on his abilities has a rougher, wilder edge to it. Not gonna lie, when you’re ulting into a teamfight the visual reads cleaner than base Warwick in my experience.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO, no voice filter, nothing there. Same Dave B. Mitchell performance you know from default Warwick. The recall animation is also unchanged, standard recall. For 975 RP though? The model changes carry the skin. Warwick looks genuinely feral here, matted fur, more animalistic proportions, like he’s been living in the jungle for years instead of lurking around Zaun alleys.

Played maybe 200 games with this skin back in season 10 when I was grinding Warwick jungle to climb out of Plat. The Q lunge felt snappier visually, could be wrong here but the updated VFX gave me better feedback on when the ability connected. Might be placebo. Might not be. Either way I kept locking it in over Grey Warwick which I also own.

The Silver Age line and release context

Feral Warwick dropped November 16, 2010. Early League days. Part of the Silver Age skinline, which is one of those older Riot thematic groupings that doesn’t get much love anymore. Mike Azevedo did the splash, and for a 2010 piece it holds up better than you’d expect. The composition is simple but the color work captures the feral vibe perfectly.

No chromas on this one. Zero. Which tracks for a skin from 2010, Riot wasnt really doing chromas back then and they haven’t gone back to add any. (Random aside: I kind of wish they would, a blood-red Feral Warwick chroma would go hard in the bot lane specifically during ganks.)

Legacy vault skin, so you cant just grab it from the shop whenever you want. Sits in the vault until Riot decides to bring it out for a sale event or you get lucky with Hextech crafting. Been seeing fewer and fewer of these in my Diamond games, maybe 2 or 3 all season. Most Warwick mains run PROJECT or Old God these days.

Should you pick up Feral Warwick?

Real verdict: 975 RP feels fair for what you get, but only if you actually main Warwick and want variety in your skin rotation. The updated VFX carry the value here. Model changes are solid for the era. But you’re competing against skins like Old God Warwick and Arcane Vander Warwick that came out over a decade later with way more polish.

If you’re a Warwick one-trick who jungles every game and wants something that feels raw and primal, Feral Warwick delivers on that fantasy better than most of his catalog. Last Tuesday around 2 AM I was spamming ranked and swapped back to this skin just for the nostalgia, ended up on a 4 game win streak. Could be coping but I think the skin just puts you in a different headset. More aggressive. More commit-to-the-dive energy.

For casual Warwick players, skip it. The Legacy availability makes it harder to get anyway, and there’s better options in his permanent shop lineup. For mains though? Keep an eye on vault rotations. Feral Warwick is one of those older skins that aged well because the concept is timeless. Beast mode Warwick. Simple change – huge impact on how the champion feels in your hands.
