Draven Draven

First time I saw this skin load into my game I thought something broke. Big bobblehead Draven running around with tiny axes that have his own face on them. Took me a second to realize this was an actual skin and not a client bug from patch day. Honestly not gonna lie, I laughed hard enough to miss my first cs.

The joke that actually works in game

So the whole gimmick here is Draven’s head is massive. Like comically oversized. The axes he catches? They got little Draven faces on them too. Its basically Draven cosplaying as himself which is the most on-brand thing Riot has ever done for any champion. No new VFX, no new voice lines, no recall animation changes. Pure model swap humor.

The proportions mess with your head at first. Been running this in Diamond ranked last season and the hitbox looks bigger than it actually is. Opponents panic flash when you walk at them because the model reads as more threatening than base Draven somehow. Could be wrong here but I think the oversized head actually creates a tiny visual advantage in bot lane specifically. People misjudge the spacing.

Base voice lines, no changes. Erik Braa’s original VO carries everything. Which honestly fits because Draven’s base lines are already peak ego. “Welcome to the League of Draven” coming out of that bobblehead model hits different. The skin doesn’t need new audio when the character himself is already a walking meme.

Where Draven Draven came from

Released March 31, 2016. April Fools skin, dropped right before the joke day. Alvin Lee handled the artwork and the splash is genuinely good for a comedy skin. Draven holding up a Draven mask in front of another Draven. Layers of narcissism.

Part of the Definitely Not skinline which is Riot’s comedy catalog. Same family as Definitely Not Blitzcrank and Definitely Not Vel’Koz. The Definitely Not skins range from clever to lazy but Draven Draven sits near the top because the concept matches the champion’s personality perfectly. Draven is the only champion in the game who would literally dress up as himself.

500 RP price point. Standard tier. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever you want. Shows up during special events, sometimes April Fools sales. I think I picked mine up during a Your Shop rotation back in season 8 or 9. Seen maybe four of these in my ranked games all of last year. (Random aside: the loading screen card with that splash is genuinely my favorite flex in champ select.)

Should you pick up Draven Draven?

Real verdict: this is a meme skin and it knows exactly what it is. You’re not getting new particles or a fancy recall. You’re getting a bobblehead Draven that catches bobblehead axes. For 500 RP thats a steal if you main Draven and want something to tilt the enemy ADC with. The mental warfare angle is real. Last Tuesday in a Diamond game our Draven locked this in and their support immediately typed “gg” in all chat. Placebo or not, the skin creates an aura.

Skip it if you want actual visual upgrades on your abilities. Primetime or Fright Night do more for Draven mains who care about VFX. But if you one-trick Draven and like spamming emotes after solo kills in lane, Draven Draven is the only correct answer. Worth 500 RP if you main Draven. The Definitely Not line peaked here. Simple change – huge impact on the comedy factor. S-tier Draven cosmetic for the vibes alone, just dont expect anything beyond the model swap.
