Ezreal Skins
21 skins availableEzreal has 21 skins and honestly the catalog is stacked. Been maining him on and off since season 3, and every time I come back there's something new worth looking at. Not gonna lie, he's one of those champions where Riot clearly plays favorites with the cosmetic treatment. You got an Ultimate, two Legendaries, two Prestige skins, and a pile of Epics that range from "actually incredible" to "why does this exist." The spread from 2010 to 2025 means you're looking at skins that aged like milk next to skins that look like they dropped yesterday.

How Ezreal's Skin Collection Evolved Over 15 Years
Ezreal's first skins hit the shop back in 2010. Explorer Ezreal, Nottingham Ezreal, Frosted Ezreal. Real old-school stuff. These were texture swaps with maybe a color palette change if you squinted hard enough. I remember locking in Frosted Ezreal thinking it looked cool back in season 2. It did not. The model was rough even by 2012 standards and Riot hadnt touched it up yet.
Then Pulsefire Ezreal dropped in 2012 as the game's first Ultimate skin. Massive deal at the time. 3250 RP, evolving model, new VO. The whole package. It set the bar for what a premium skin could be, even if that bar has been raised considerably since. More on Pulsefire later because there's a lot to unpack.
The real golden stretch started around 2015 with the Epic tier skins. Arcade Ezreal brought that retro pixel aesthetic. Star Guardian Ezreal in 2017 was a curveball nobody expected and it worked. Kinda feels like Riot figured out that Ezreal's kit translates well to flashy VFX because every Q and W looks clean when you redesign the particles. Nine Epics in the catalog now, which is the bulk of the collection.
Two Legendaries landed over the years. Battle Academia Ezreal and Porcelain Protector Ezreal. Both 1820 RP, both with new VO and animations. The Mythic tier got two Prestige versions: PsyOps and Heavenscale. Special pricing on those, loot or event track only. Could be wrong here but I think Ezreal might have one of the most diverse tier spreads in the entire game. Seven Standards, nine Epics, two Legendaries, two Mythics, one Ultimate. That covers basically every price point Riot offers.
Newest addition is Masque of the Black Rose Ezreal from 2025. The collection keeps growing and honestly I dont see it stopping anytime soon. Ezreal sells skins. Riot knows it. We know it.
Best Skins for Ezreal
This is where it gets fun. Played probably 400 games on Ezreal across different skins and I have strong opinions about which ones actually feel good versus which ones just look nice in the splash.
Battle Academia Ezreal is my number one pick. Full stop. The Legendary treatment gave him a completely reworked animation set, new VO with that cocky student energy, and the Q particles are crisp. Hitting a max range Mystic Shot with this skin just feels different. The recall animation where he's studying and then blasts the book is peak. 1820 RP and it earns every point. Been running this in ranked since it dropped and I still havent gotten bored of the sound design. (Random aside: the Japanese VO on this skin is even better if you ever switch client language.)
Pulsefire Ezreal holds a special place but real talk, it shows its age. The evolving armor is cool conceptually. You level up and the suit upgrades through four forms. The Ultimate price tag of 3250 RP was justified back in 2012 when nothing else came close. Now though? The model looks dated compared to newer Ultimates. Riot did update it once but it still feels like a 2012 skin wearing a 2018 coat of paint. Worth owning for the history alone. Not sure if it's just me but the auto attack animation on Pulsefire feels slightly clunkier than base, which matters when you're trying to cs properly in lane.
Porcelain Protector Ezreal surprised me. Went in expecting another generic thematic skin and came out impressed. The blue and white porcelain VFX on W and E are clean. Ult looks gorgeous. Second Legendary in the catalog and it competes directly with Battle Academia. Different vibe though. Where BA is loud and energetic, Porcelain is elegant. Took this into ranked for maybe 30 games last split and the Q sound effect alone kept me coming back.
Star Guardian Ezreal deserves a mention even at Epic tier. The thematic is goofy for Ezreal but Riot committed to it. Pink and blue particles, the familiar pet, the whole magical boy thing. Spammed this in Diamond during season 8 I think. It punches way above its 1350 RP weight class.
SSG Ezreal is the Worlds 2017 commemorative skin and its actually solid for a 750 RP offering. Simple jacket swap, Samsung Galaxy colors. No new particles but the splash is clean. Budget pick that doesnt embarrass you in loading screen.
Skinlines and Themes That Fit Ezreal
Ezreal shows up across a bunch of skinlines. Pulsefire, Star Guardian, Battle Academia, PsyOps, Porcelain, Debonair, Arcade, Faerie Court, HEARTSTEEL, Heavenscale, and now Masque of the Black Rose. Dude gets around.
The ones that actually fit his fantasy? Pulsefire was literally built for him as the flagship skin. Battle Academia matches his cocky explorer personality perfectly. The school setting with anime energy is basically Ezreal's whole deal. Might be overthinking it but I think Riot designs certain skinlines with Ezreal already penciled in because he translates so well to any theme that involves being young, confident, and slightly annoying.
HEARTSTEEL Ezreal from 2023 was an interesting pick. The boy band concept works because Ezreal already has that pretty-boy energy. The music-themed particles on Q and ult feel fresh. Faerie Court took him in a more fantasy direction. Fits okay but doesnt hit as hard as Battle Academia or Star Guardian for me personally.
Debonair Ezreal is the suited-up gentleman version. Part of the Highstakes universe. Looks sharp in the splash. In game the model is fine but nothing special, its an older Epic. The World Champions 2012 skin (TPA Ezreal) is a cool piece of esports history. Taipei Assassins jersey, commemorating their Worlds win. Legacy vault so you cant just buy it anymore.
Heavenscale is the most recent premium line he's in. Eastern dragon aesthetic with gold and jade tones. The Prestige version cranks the gold up. Solid thematic fit for a champion who's canonically an explorer of ancient ruins. (Sidebar for lore nerds: Ezreal literally raids Shuriman tombs, the mystical artifact angle writes itself.)
Budget vs Premium: Where to Spend on Ezreal
The price range on Ezreal skins goes from 520 RP all the way to 3250 RP. Massive spread.
If you're climbing ranked and want something clean without dropping serious RP, Arcade Ezreal or Star Guardian Ezreal at 1350 are your best bets. Both have custom particles on every ability, new recall, sound effects. Star Guardian especially feels like a Legendary in disguise. For even cheaper, SSG Ezreal at 750 does the job. No new particles but the model change is enough to feel fresh in your games.
Fair warning, the old Standard tier skins like Nottingham and Explorer are basically chromas by modern standards. 520-750 RP for a texture swap. They exist mostly as collector items at this point. Frosted Ezreal falls in the same bucket. Unless you specifically want that vintage look for the meme factor in your ranked games, skip them.
Premium side is where Ezreal really shines. Battle Academia at 1820 is the best value Legendary in the game, might be biased but I stand by it. Porcelain Protector at 1820 is the alternative if you want something more refined. Pulsefire at 3250 is for collectors and Ezreal one-tricks who want everything. The two Prestige skins are event or loot locked so you cant just buy those directly. Been checking the Mythic shop rotation every patch hoping PsyOps Prestige shows up again. No luck so far as of late April 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many skins does Ezreal have?
Ezreal has 21 skins total as of 2025. That includes seven Standard tier, nine Epics, two Legendaries, two Mythic Prestige skins, and one Ultimate. Massive catalog. He's been getting new skins consistently since 2010 so the collection just keeps growing. One of the largest in the game honestly.
What is the best Ezreal skin?
Battle Academia Ezreal. Not even close for me. The Legendary treatment with new VO, animations, and particles makes it feel like a completely different champion. Porcelain Protector is the runner-up if you prefer a cleaner aesthetic. Both are 1820 RP and both deliver. Spammed Battle Academia for three seasons straight.
What is the cheapest Ezreal skin?
Nottingham Ezreal and Explorer Ezreal sit at 520 RP. Cheapest options available. They're basically texture swaps with no new particles or sounds though. For a bit more at 750 RP, SSG Ezreal gives you a cleaner model. Real budget picks but dont expect anything fancy from the 520 tier ones.
Does Ezreal have a Legendary skin?
Two Legendaries actually. Battle Academia Ezreal and Porcelain Protector Ezreal, both at 1820 RP. Each has new voice lines, unique animations, and completely reworked VFX. He also has Pulsefire Ezreal which is Ultimate tier at 3250 RP, so technically above Legendary. Three premium skins total if you count all of them.
What skinlines is Ezreal in?
Ezreal appears in a ton of skinlines. Pulsefire, Star Guardian, Battle Academia, PsyOps, Porcelain, Debonair, Arcade, Faerie Court, HEARTSTEEL, Heavenscale, and Masque of the Black Rose. Probably forgetting one. Dude shows up everywhere because he sells well and fits most aesthetics. Riot loves putting him in new lines.
Does Ezreal have chromas?
Yeah several of his skins have chromas available. The Epic tier skins especially tend to come with chroma packs. Battle Academia and some of the newer releases have solid chroma options. Check each individual skin page for the full chroma breakdown with color counts and names. Some of them actually look better than the base version.
When was Ezreal's last skin released?
Masque of the Black Rose Ezreal dropped in 2025. Most recent addition to the collection. Before that was the Heavenscale line with both the base and Prestige versions. Ezreal gets a new skin pretty much every year at this point, sometimes two. Safe bet theres another one coming before 2026 ends.
Is Ezreal worth buying skins for?
If you play him regularly then absolutely. Ezreal's kit is all skillshots so you see the particles constantly. Q spam in lane, W poke, E blink, R across the map. Every ability gets used nonstop which means skin VFX actually matter more on him than most ADCs. One good skin makes the champion feel completely fresh. Worth it for mains.
