Not gonna lie, when I first saw Nottingham Ezreal back in the day I thought Riot was just slapping a green outfit on the guy and calling it a skin. Turns out thats basically what happened. But there’s something about this one that keeps pulling me back in ranked every few months when I get tired of flashier options.

What Nottingham Ezreal actually looks like in game

This is a 520 RP Standard skin. Set your expectations there. No new VFX on Q, W, E, or R. No VO refresh. Base voice lines, no changes. The recall is the same default animation. What you get is a full model swap that puts Ezreal in a Robin Hood style outfit, green tunic and brown leather boots, with a crossbow-style gauntlet replacing the usual arcane glove.

The color palette shift is the main draw. Ezreal goes from blue and gold to forest green and brown. Played maybe 200 games with this skin across multiple seasons and the green actually reads differently in lane. Could be wrong here but I think the muted tones make your Q harder to track against certain Rift terrain, especially around dragon pit and the river brush near bot lane specifically.

Model quality is dated. We’re talking 2010 geometry here so dont expect smooth edges or detailed texturing. The gauntlet looks chunky. Hair is a solid block. Compared to modern 520 RP skins this one shows its age hard. Simple change – different vibe entirely though.

The Albion line and some history

Nottingham Ezreal released March 16, 2010. Early League days. Season 1 wasn’t even officially running yet I think. Kelly Aleshire did the splash, and for that era the art holds up reasonably well. Ezreal standing in a forest with that green hood energy. (Random aside: I used this splash as my Discord avatar for like three months in season 9 before anyone noticed it was even League related.)

Part of the Albion skinline which is Riot’s medieval fantasy theme. Think Nottingham as in Robin Hood’s stomping ground. The fantasy fits Ezreal surprisingly well since he’s already an explorer type, giving him that ranger look works. The Albion line doesn’t get much love from Riot these days which makes this feel like a quiet collector’s piece more than anything.

Legacy vault skin so you can’t just grab it from the shop whenever. Hextech only these days or you gotta wait for one of those rare Legacy sales Riot runs maybe once or twice a year. Seen maybe 3 of these in my games all season which honestly adds to the appeal.

Should you hunt this one down?

Real verdict: Nottingham Ezreal is a nostalgia pick. At 520 RP it’s cheap when it shows up, but the lack of any VFX or audio changes means you’re paying purely for the model swap. Been running this in Diamond when I want to tilt enemy ADC mains who expect me to have some flashy Legendary equipped. The disrespect factor is real.

If you’re an Ezreal one-trick building a collection, sure, snag it next time it rotates through the Legacy store or if you roll it from a chest. But if you only want one Ezreal skin and you’re climbing ranked, there’s better options at every price point. Star Guardian, Battle Academia, even Frosted gives you more visual clarity for your RP.

Kinda feels like this skin exists for completionists and players who appreciate the old-school League aesthetic. Last Tuesday around 2 AM I locked this in for a late night ranked game and my support pinged my skin three times. Worth it for that reaction alone. Skip it if you want peel-worthy visuals, keep it if you respect the history.
