First game I loaded into with Infernal Karma, my ADC pinged the skin three times in fountain. Thats how you know Riot did something right with the visual design. Been running this as my main Karma skin since it dropped in late May 2024 and honestly the fire aesthetic fits her kit better than I expected. The Infernal line has always been hit or miss for me, but Karma slots into it naturally.

What the skin actually changes on the Rift

New VFX across the board. Her Q sends out this molten fireball that leaves a burning trail on the ground, and when you proc Mantra Q the explosion feels heavier. More impactful. The kind of thing that makes your lane opponent respect your poke a little more even if the damage is identical.

W tether gets a fiery chain effect that looks clean in teamfights. Not gonna lie, its easier to track than some of her other skins where the tether blends into particle chaos. E shield wraps your ally in flame armor which reads well against the Rift’s green background, especially when you’re peeling for your backline in a messy dragon fight.

The recall animation is new. Karma channels fire between her hands, building up this volcanic energy before ascending. Solid recall, nothing groundbreaking but it fits the theme. Voice lines stay base, no VO refresh on this one. Standard for a 1350 RP Epic skin.

Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack animation feels slightly snappier? Probably placebo. The fire projectile on her autos is satisfying though, gives better visual feedback when you’re trying to cs in lane or harassing the enemy support pre-6.

The Infernal skinline and where Karma fits

Infernal released May 30, 2024. Late into season 14, right around MSI if I remember correctly. Huyy Nguyen and West Studio handled the artwork, and the splash captures this volcanic goddess energy that works for Karma’s whole enlightened warrior vibe.

The Infernal line has been around forever. Nasus, Diana, Shen, Varus – they all got Infernal skins over the years. Karma joining the roster makes sense thematically. She channels spiritual energy, so swapping that for fire energy isnt a huge leap. Real talk though, the Infernal skinline peaked with Infernal Nasus back in the day, but Infernal Karma holds its own as one of the better recent additions.

8 chromas total. Amethyst is my go-to because the deep purple flames against her model just hit different in my Diamond games last season. Pearl goes for a white-fire look that reads almost celestial, which is a cool contrast to the base skin’s orange-red. Aquamarine turns the whole fire palette into blue flames and honestly might be the cleanest option if you want something that stands out in a comp with other fire-themed skins. (Random aside: I keep the Amethyst chroma locked in for ranked and Pearl for normals, no idea why I do this but it feels right.)

Is Infernal Karma worth 1350 RP?

Straight talk: if you main Karma support or play her mid as a poke mage, this skin earns its price. The VFX clarity alone makes it functional, and the fire theme gives her abilities more visual weight in teamfights. Played maybe 80 games with this between last June and September 2024, and I kept coming back to it over Dawnbringer and Odyssey Karma.

Where it falls short is the lack of new voice lines. At 1350 RP you’re getting new particles, new recall, new model – standard Epic package. Nothing more. Might be overthinking it but a voice filter would have pushed this into top-tier Karma skin territory. Instead it sits comfortably in the upper half.

Shop has it, permanent availability. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Skip this if you already own Dawnbringer Karma and dont play her enough to justify two Epic skins. But for Karma mains who want that aggressive fire fantasy in their rotation, Infernal Karma delivers. Top pick for Karma mains who want something with edge. Not her best skin overall – I’d still give that to Dawnbringer for the full package – but Infernal is a strong second that I lock in more often than I expected to when I first grabbed it around 2 AM on release night.
