Tranquility Dragon Karma

First game I played with Tranquility Dragon Karma was a late night ranked session, maybe 1 AM on a Wednesday. Locked in Karma support, loaded into the Rift, and the splash alone had me feeling different about the pick. Not sure if it’s just me but this skin changed how I approach Karma entirely. Something about the dragon aesthetic makes you want to play more aggressively, throwing out Q poke like you’re the carry. Been running this as my main Karma skin since season 11 and havent looked back.

Visual overhaul and ability changes

For an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, the VFX work here is solid. Karma’s Q launches this wispy dragon energy that trails teal and gold particles across the lane. Mantra Q specifically looks clean – the detonation zone has these swirling dragon scales that pulse outward. Really easy to read in teamfight chaos, which matters when you’re trying to land the empowered version on three people stacking dragon pit.

W tether gets this jade thread look with small dragon motifs along the connection. Subtle change but it reads well. E shield pops with a circular dragon emblem around whoever you’re peeling for, and the Mantra E group shield spreads that same energy across your whole comp. Played maybe 40 games with this skin before I even noticed the small dragon that curls around Karma during her recall animation. Cool detail.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Kinda feels like a missed opportunity given the Dragonmancers theme could support some dragon-related callouts, but thats standard for the 1350 price point. The model itself swaps Karma’s usual look for flowing robes with dragon scale patterns, teal and gold color scheme throughout. Her mantle piece has this serpentine dragon coiled across her shoulders. Clean silhouette that reads well even from the top-down camera angle during lane phase.

The Dragonmancers line and release context

Tranquility Dragon Karma dropped October 21, 2021. Late into season 11, right around Worlds if I remember correctly. Yuhong Ding and West Studio handled the artwork, and the splash piece captures this serene dragon guardian energy that fits Karma perfectly. The Dragonmancers skinline is one of Riot’s better thematic sets – splits champions into Tranquility and Duality categories. Karma got the calm side, which makes sense for a champion built around shields and empowered utility.

9 chromas total. Emberclaw is my personal favorite – the dark base with crimson accents gives the skin an edge the original doesnt have. Amethyst shifts everything into deep purple territory which hits harder than you’d expect on the dragon VFX. Pearl goes the opposite direction, almost ethereal white that makes the abilities look like they’re made of light. Rest are fine but those three stand out in my games.

Still in the shop at 1350 RP. Permanent availability so no rush if you’re on the fence. (Random aside: I use the Emberclaw chroma splash as my Discord profile picture and people keep asking what game it’s from.)

Where Tranquility Dragon Karma sits in the lineup

Real talk though. Karma has a decent skin catalog but most of them feel dated. Dawnbringer Karma and Odyssey Karma compete at the same price point, and honestly Tranquility Dragon Karma edges both out for me. The VFX are more distinct, the theme is more unique, and the chromas give you flexibility that the other two lack.

Been spamming this in Diamond support games all through season 12 and into 13. The Q particles specifically feel satisfying to throw out during poke lanes where you’re trying to chunk the ADC pre-6 before they get sustain online. Could be wrong here but I think the Mantra Q hitbox visually reads tighter on this skin than base, which helps with juking out opponents who try to sidestep it.

Skip this only if you already own Dawnbringer and feel locked into that aesthetic. For everyone else maining Karma or picking her as a flex support and mid option, Tranquility Dragon Karma is the strongest 1350 RP option in her collection. Fair price for the package. The Dragonmancers theme gives Karma something none of her other skins deliver – that dragon fantasy layered onto her existing kit without feeling forced.

Should you buy it? If you play Karma more than twice a month in ranked, yes. 1350 RP well spent for mains. The chromas alone extend the skin’s lifespan, and the VFX hold up even three years after release. Best executed skin in the Dragonmancers set alongside maybe the Lee Sin variant, and I been saying that since it dropped in my ranked games back in late 2021. Top pick for Karma mains, no question.
