The Worlds 2020 LeBlanc skin released September 24, 2020, and I remember watching the Worlds broadcast that fall thinking the splash art actually undersold what was in-game. Banger splash. The World Championship line has produced mixed results over the years – some skins genuinely earned their place in the Legacy vault, some are just commemorative filler. This one lands closer to the earned category, which I wouldn’t have said before I actually spent time with it in ranked.

Been running this on and off since it dropped. Not a main, but I queue into mid sometimes when my main pool feels stale and LeBlanc is my comfort pick there. Might be overthinking it but the sigil geometry on Worlds 2020 reads cleaner than base in fog-of-war situations, and that matters when you’re timing proc windows in a mid-lane skirmish.

What Worlds 2020 LeBlanc actually changes

Epic at 1350 RP. New VFX, custom recall. No new VO – base voice lines stay, standard for this price point. Naomi McDonald’s original LeBlanc voice work holds up fine anyway so thats not a real loss.

The VFX package is the main selling point. Q sigils hit with a World Championship gold-and-white particle that reads distinctly from the base purple. W clone spawn has a subtle shimmer shift. E tether chain looks sharper, less muddy than default. R detonation is where it actually pops – that sigil explosion carries a championship-branded particle trail you won’t see on any other LeBlanc skin. In a late-game teamfight, proc recognition on R is genuinely cleaner than base, and if you’re playing LeBlanc properly that’s a real edge in the backline chaos.

Recall is custom. She does the mirror-performance thing dressed in the Worlds 2020 color scheme. Good recall. Strong enough that I’d lock in this skin just for the recall alone if I was actively spamming LeBlanc through a Diamond climb.

World Championship context, chromas, and release details

World Championship skins are different from regular skinlines. Commemorative. Tied to a specific Worlds, a specific year in pro play history. 2020 was Shanghai, season 10, the COVID-compressed format. Buying this LeBlanc is buying a timestamp – that doesn’t inflate the visual quality, but it adds collector weight that a random Epic just doesn’t carry.

Three chromas in the set: Rose Quartz reads soft pink, Ruby goes straight red and aggressive, and Turquoise shifts the whole palette cold. Turquoise is the sleeper pick – it changes the read enough to feel like a distinct skin variant rather than a recolor. (random aside: Turquoise Worlds 2020 has been my phone wallpaper splash for two years, I forgot it was even there until a teammate asked about it in champion select.) Ruby runs harder than you’d expect from a standard red chroma. Not washed out. Actually sharp.

Art credit: Francis Tneh and West Studio on the splash. They captured the Worlds aesthetic without going too corporate-logo-heavy, which is a genuine failure mode for esports skins and these two avoided it cleanly.

Legacy vault now. Your access points are Hextech crafting, loot rolls from chests, or catching Worlds-event shop windows when Riot cycles old Championship skins back in. Worth holding if one drops from a chest.

Is Worlds 2020 LeBlanc worth 1350 RP?

Should you buy it? Depends entirely on how much LeBlanc you play. Worth 1350 RP if you main her – the VFX upgrade is genuine, the recall is strong, and the World Championship timestamp carries collector value that only grows as seasons pass.

For occasional LeBlanc games – skip it unless it falls from a chest or event shop. Coven LeBlanc exists at the same Epic price point and hits harder visually for players who aren’t attached to the Worlds aesthetic specifically. That’s the honest take. Real talk though: if this one drops from your next box, don’t shard it.
