Worlds 2014 Shyvana

Locked in Worlds 2014 Shyvana back when it dropped and honestly wasnt sure what to expect from a Worlds skin at that price point. Season 4 was peak Shyvana top lane meta. She was in almost every competitive game, so Riot giving her the championship treatment made sense. First impression loading into a ranked game around midnight: the blue and gold color scheme hits clean against the Rift.

What the skin actually changes

For a 975 RP Standard tier skin, Worlds 2014 Shyvana delivers more than you’d expect. The model is a full reskin in deep blue armor with gold trim and the Worlds trophy logo stamped across her shield. Not gonna lie, the color palette reads way better in-game than in the splash. Blue flame VFX on her W give Burnout a completely different feel during jungle clear and teamfights.

Her Q proc animation keeps the dual-strike feel but the particles match the blue theme. E poke in lane has that cooler tint that actually makes it easier to track. Dragon form through her ult goes full blue dragon, which is a massive visual upgrade from base. The recall animation has her planting a championship flag into the ground. Short and clean.

Voice lines stay base, no new VO here. Karen Strassman’s original Shyvana voice still works fine with the skin though. Kinda feels like Riot could have added a filter or something but for the price I think its fair.

The World Championship line and context

Part of the World Championship skinline, released October 13, 2014 right around Worlds that year in Seoul. Brandon ‘Madspartan’ Liao handled the artwork and the splash captures the competitive energy well. Shyvana standing over the Summoner’s Cup with that intense stare.

The skin sits in the Legacy vault now, so you cant just grab it whenever. Vault rotation skin. Comes back occasionally during Worlds events but dont count on it being available year-round. Been playing since season 4 and I think I’ve seen maybe 5 people use this in my Diamond games all of last season. Rare pickup.

There’s one Golden chroma available. The gold version pushes the trophy aesthetic even harder, turns the blue armor pieces into full gold plating. Looks great on the loading screen specifically. (Random aside: the Golden chroma on dragon form might be my favorite Shyvana look period, and I’ve tried every skin she has.)

Should you pick up Worlds 2014 Shyvana?

Real verdict: 975 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX, new recall, solid model work. For Shyvana mains who want something unique that nobody else runs, this is the pick. Played maybe 40 games with it last month when it came back during a vault sale and the blue flames on Burnout never got old.

Could be wrong here but I think this aged better than most 2014 skins. The blue and gold is timeless compared to some of the weird color choices Riot made that year. If you’re climbing with Shyvana jungle or running her top in a splitpush comp, the skin reads well in teamfights without being distracting. Skip Ice Drake if you want something cleaner. Keep coming back to this one over Super Galaxy honestly. Best value Shyvana skin if you can catch it outside the vault.
