Risen Legend LeBlanc dropped June 12, 2024, and I caught my first look at it three days later in a Diamond lobby where the enemy LeBlanc dismantled our backline before my ADC even finished respawning. Stopped mid-death screen and recognized the skin immediately. That almost never happens – usually I’m too focused on not feeding bot lane to care about cosmetics mid-game. The Risen Legends line gets something right that a lot of Mythic skins miss: LeBlanc looks like she earned this status, not just received a palette upgrade with a prestige price tag attached. Grounded. Fitting for a champion who’s been the most dangerous person in every room she’s walked into since forever.

What changes with Risen Legend LeBlanc

New VFX on everything. Real upgrade. Her Q sigil lands heavier – more like a branded seal burned into the ground than a quick cast circle. In Diamond where teammates need to process information in half a second, that visual weight communicates her position better than the base skin’s lighter geometry. Been spamming LeBlanc in solo queue since this dropped and the Q clarity during lane prio is the first thing I noticed.

The W mirror image dash reads cleaner during teamfights – real gameplay benefit for mains because your frontline can track the real LeBlanc faster when the trail has more distinctive coloring. Changes whether they peel for you or tunnel-vision the clone. Her E chains look ceremonial too: warmer glow, heavier texture, formal authority rather than raw magic. And the R clone moment – the moment every LeBlanc one-trick plays the whole game for – hits differently in Risen. Might be overthinking it but the clone’s silhouette reads more imposing here. Genuine.

New recall animation included. Solid work. She doesn’t portal out with a generic flash effect – there’s a full ascension sequence that fits the Risen Legends theme directly. Watched it dozens of times across my last 35 games. Doesn’t get old.

No new VO. Naomi McDonald’s base LeBlanc voice lines stay unchanged. Standard for a Mythic that isn’t pushing a full lore narrative shift. The base VO holds up well enough that it’s not a dealbreaker, but if audio refresh is your priority, this won’t deliver it.

Risen Legends launched June 12, 2024 – mid-summer split, right around when competitive play was getting loud. Bo ‘chenbowow’ Chen painted the splash piece, and they captured the right energy: LeBlanc front and center, composed, looking like someone who already won before the game started. Banger splash.

The Risen Legends line pairs her with Vayne in the same release window. LeBlanc fits the “legendary status earned” concept better than almost any champion Riot could’ve picked – she’s been the most powerful political manipulator in Demacia for centuries. The skin isn’t explaining anything new about her character. It’s confirming what the lore already implied.

There’s 2 chromas in the set. Mythclimber runs green and gold – looks more restrained in-game than it sounds on paper, earthy authority rather than flashy. Paragon goes teal into purple, which is the mage-fantasy palette done right. (sidebar for LeBlanc mains: Paragon is the pick, the teal on her W trail during a dive onto the backline is genuinely beautiful.) Both feel intentional, not like placeholder recolors. Risen Legend LeBlanc sits in vault rotation these days – Hextech crafting only, not a permanent shop listing – so you’re rolling chests or waiting on loot rotations.

Is Risen Legend LeBlanc worth the Mythic Essence?

Not gonna lie, the VFX upgrade being actually functional in high elo is what makes the difference here. Cleaner Q sigil, cleaner W trail – these aren’t just cosmetic changes when you’re playing against people who know how to read LeBlanc. Spammed maybe 80 games with this skin since launch and wouldn’t swap back to any other LeBlanc option.

The one miss is no new voice lines at this price point. Thats the honest criticism and it’s fair. Everything else – the splash, the recall, the ability VFX work, the two well-considered chromas – delivers. Bo ‘chenbowow’ put in the work on the visual direction and it shows across the board.

Vault rotation skin. Hextech loot is your path now if you missed the June 2024 launch window. Worth the 100 ME if LeBlanc is your main or even a regular ranked pick. Top pick for LeBlanc mains, no real competition in the current catalog.
