Program LeBlanc is the skin I reach for when I want to feel like I’m running an exploit, not casting spells. Dropped November 15, 2018 and fit the champion immediately – LeBlanc is already a deception machine, so making her a literal AI construct just clicks. First time I loaded in with this I thought yeah, thats exactly it. Cold teal-and-white palette, digital sigil animations, clinical and dangerous. Clean concept, clean execution.
What the Program skin changes in-game
Epic tier means real changes here. New VFX across the full kit, plus a new recall. Her passive sigil has a holographic lock-ring look, teal circuit overlays imprinted on the ground. The Q – Shatter Orb – fires a digital projectile with a brief glitch effect on impact. Not sure if it’s just me but the Q chain visual reads cleaner than base during teamfights, the detonation radius is easier to track when the particles are that precise.
W blinks leave a rippling data distortion on the ground, a ghosted hologram fading like buffering footage. Simple change – huge impact on the overall feel. The E Ethereal Chains comes out as a thin code beam with a grid-patterned slow effect. Been running this as my main LeBlanc skin since release and the E specifically feels more mechanical, colder, which is exactly what this champion should feel like when you’re spamming her into the backline.
Ult gets the best treatment. The Program clone spawns with a brief shimmer that reads as digital without being obvious to opponents who don’t know the tell. You know what surprised me? How the glitch-spawn animation creates a genuine moment of confusion in-game – that split second where the enemy doesn’t know which one to peel from. The recall is equally solid: she interfaces with a data terminal, clean transmission-loop animation, never gets old.
Voice lines stay base. Naomi McDonald’s LeBlanc performance is one of the better ones in the roster so that’s genuinely not a loss. Choe HeonHwa did the splash, cold precision, captures the Program concept without overselling it.
Release, skinline context, and chromas
The Program skinline launched in 2016 with Soraka and Syndra, went quiet for two years, then came back with Lissandra and LeBlanc in late 2018. The concept: AI entities taking champion forms, cold and clinical. LeBlanc fits this line better than most because deception and calculated plays are already her whole identity. Program just makes it literal.
Released November 15, 2018. Kind of a sleeper launch – no big event push, right after the Worlds season wrap-up, so it slipped past a lot of players. Permanent shop availability, no vault rotation nonsense, sits in the shop at 1350 RP whenever you want it.
There’s 6 chromas. Obsidian is the one to get – goes almost fully black, LeBlanc as a void construct, reads threatening in solo queue ranked games. Ruby swaps the whole palette to deep crimson, more aggressive energy than the cool base. Sapphire pushes it to pure blue, kinda feels like the natural Program color to me. (sidebar: been running Obsidian since around season nine or ten, don’t exactly remember, still gets comments in post-game lobbies from people asking what skin that is.)
Is Program LeBlanc worth 1350 RP?
Real verdict: yes, if you actually main LeBlanc. The Program concept suits her identity well enough that the VFX changes feel purposeful rather than cosmetic. The passive sigil and W particles specifically help your own readability when you’re diving the backline to proc a chain combo. Good recall, consistent aesthetic from Q to R.
1350 RP feels fair for what you get. No new VO, but the rest of the package holds up. A lot of 2018 Epics look rough by current standards – Program LeBlanc doesn’t. Could be wrong here but I’d argue this ages better than most skins from that era for this champion specifically.
Skip it if LeBlanc isn’t in your regular champion pool. Top pick for LeBlanc mains if you want something below Coven that has real design coherence and a concept that actually matches the champion’s personality.
