First time I saw this skin load in on the enemy team, around 1 AM on a Tuesday last December, I thought someone modded a winter boss fight into League. Winterblessed Warwick turns the Blood Hunter into something out of a frozen fairy tale, and honestly not gonna lie, the whole vibe works way better than I expected for a champion who usually leans full feral. Been running this in Diamond for over a season now and it still catches people off guard in champ select.

The frozen wolf treatment

So what does 1350 RP actually get you here? New model, new VFX across his kit, and a new recall animation. Voice lines stay base, no VO refresh. Standard Epic package. But the execution is clean.

Warwick’s model swaps the usual blood-soaked predator look for this ice-armored guardian aesthetic. Frost plating across his limbs, icy blue glow running through the cracks. His claws have this crystalline edge to them that reads well even in messy teamfights. Q lunges leave a frost trail on the ground that I think lingers just a touch longer than his base particles. Could be wrong here but it feels more visible when you’re chasing someone through river.

W blood trail is where things get interesting. The scent indicator shifts to this pale blue shimmer instead of the usual red, and tracking low-health targets across the Rift feels different when the whole path looks like frozen mist. Hard to explain. Its just cleaner visually. R is the real highlight though. The ult leap coats the landing zone in ice particles, and the suppress animation has Warwick pinning his target with frost spreading outward from the impact. Played maybe 200 games with this skin and the R visual never gets old. Solid engage tool, solid visual payoff.

(Random aside: the recall animation where he howls and summons a blizzard? My phone wallpaper for three months straight.)

Winterblessed line and the details

Winterblessed Warwick dropped December 8, 2022. Late season 12, right before preseason chaos. Rudy Siswanto nailed the splash – the composition has Warwick mid-howl with ice shards radiating outward, very dramatic, very wallpaper-worthy. The Winterblessed skinline is one of Riot’s better seasonal themes. Not just “slap some snow on it” territory. Warwick fits the guardian wolf archetype naturally, way more than some of the other champions they’ve shoved into holiday lines.

9 chromas total. Obsidian is my go-to because the dark frost look hits the edgy jungle main fantasy harder than base. Sapphire leans into a deeper blue that honestly reads more “ice mage” than wolf, but it works. Wreathguard is the holiday-specific one with red and green, kinda festive if thats your thing. Rest are fine but nothing I’d go out of my way for.

Available any time in the shop at 1350 RP. No vault rotation, no loot exclusivity. Just grab it whenever.

Worth locking in?

Real verdict: Winterblessed Warwick sits comfortably in the upper half of Warwick skins. Not quite the spectacle of PROJECT Warwick, but the frozen aesthetic gives him a different identity that none of his other skins cover. The VFX are consistent across all abilities, the model is sharp, and the color palette stands out on the Rift without being obnoxious.

Been maining Warwick with this skin through two splits now. The W trail visibility is genuinely useful in ranked, not just cosmetic. When you’re ganking bot lane and tracking the ADC through fog, that blue shimmer pops against the terrain better than base red in certain river areas. Maybe just my experience but I’ve had games where the visual clarity helped me commit to a chase I might’ve dropped on default.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. If you’re a Warwick main looking for something outside the usual dark and gritty catalog, this is the pick. Skip it if you already own Old God Warwick and only want one “premium feel” skin in rotation. But for jungle mains who spam Warwick in solo queue, Winterblessed earns its spot. Top pick for Warwick mains who want the cleanest VFX without paying Legendary price. Season 13 I think I saw maybe 4 other people using it in my games all split, so you wont run into mirror skin matchups either. That rarity factor counts for something.
