Warhound Warwick

First game I loaded this skin into, my duo said it looked like Warwick finally joined the military. Honestly not gonna lie, thats a pretty accurate read. Warhound Warwick leans hard into the armored beast angle, and it works. The whole vibe is tactical predator, like someone strapped plates onto a wolf and sent it to clear the jungle. Played maybe 30 games with it the first week it dropped and kept coming back.

What Warhound Warwick actually changes

So for an Epic skin, Warhound Warwick keeps things straightforward. No new voice lines here – voice stays default. No new recall animation either. The model rework is where the skin earns its keep though. Warwick gets this heavy armored look, plated shoulders, reinforced claws, the whole military canine aesthetic that fits the Warhounds line perfectly.

The textures on the armor catch light differently depending on the map angle. Noticed it specifically during a dragon fight last Thursday around midnight – the metallic sheen on his Q lunge looked clean against the pit walls. Base Warwick Q feels weightless sometimes but this skin gives it visual heft. Could be wrong here but the auto attack animations feel crunchier too, even though I know they didnt actually change the animations.

W blood trail is still the same red indicator, no new VFX on this one. His E fear and R suppression read identically to base. Standard for the Epic tier at 1350 RP. You know what surprised me? How well the armor design holds up when Warwick is moving at W passive speed. Some skins look janky at max movement speed but the Warhound model stays solid. The tail armor in particular tracks well during the R leap across lane.

The Warhounds line and where this fits

Warhounds as a skinline goes for that militarized beast fantasy. Warwick slots into it naturally because he’s already half-wolf half-machine in the base lore. The Warhound interpretation pushes him further into the weapon-of-war territory. Naafiri and Senna both got Warhound skins in the same batch, which rounds out the squad feel.

8 chromas total on this skin. Obsidian is my go-to because the dark plating reads like actual blackened steel, gives off spec ops energy in the jungle. Amethyst hits different though – purple armor on Warwick sounds weird but it actually pops against the Rift’s green. I’d skip Catseye unless you want maximum visibility, the yellow is loud. Pearl exists for the clean white aesthetic but personally it looks too bright for a skin thats supposed to feel gritty.

Shop has it. Permanent availability at 1350 RP, standard Epic pricing. No voice pack refresh on this one – kept the base VO. For Warwick mains who want variety without dropping Legendary money, this sits comfortably in the rotation.

Should you buy Warhound Warwick?

Real verdict: 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The model quality carries this skin hard. Been running this in Diamond games for a while now and it reads well in teamfights – your team can clearly track your engages and the enemy backline sees you coming, which honestly is fine because Warwick wants them to panic anyway.

The Warhounds skinline gives Warwick an identity that none of his other skins really touch. PROJECT Warwick goes cybernetic, Old God goes eldritch, but Warhound Warwick fills the tactical military slot. If you’re a Warwick main who jungles regularly, this is worth adding to the collection. Not his absolute best skin – I think that conversation still involves PROJECT and maybe Arcane Vander depending on your taste – but Warhound Warwick earns its spot. Solid mid-tier Epic that does what it needs to do without overcomplicating things.

Might be overthinking it but the skin just fits the champion fantasy better than half his catalog. Warwick is a hunter. Warhound makes him look like he was built for it. Been maining Warwick with this locked in for ranked this season and I keep picking it over skins that cost twice as much. That says something.
