Super Galaxy Annie

First time I loaded into the client after buying Super Galaxy Annie I just stopped and stared at the splash for a solid minute. Tibbers as a massive sci-fi mech was exactly what this champion needed and nobody was really talking about it at launch. Mist XG did the splash and the composition is legitimately one of the better pieces across the entire Super Galaxy set. Was maybe patch 7.20, late October 2017 – grabbed it day one and the base skin has not seen my Annie queue since.

What Super Galaxy Annie actually changes in-game

The Tibbers model is the centerpiece. Full angular mech, hard sci-fi shapes, fits the Super Galaxy aesthetic from splash all the way into the Rift. The Q projectile swaps the standard fireball for a blue-tinged plasma burst that reads clearly in lane – important when you are cs-ing under pressure and tracking your passive stacks at the same time. Not the flashiest Q VFX in the Epic tier, but it’s functional and does not distract from your ability to track the passive proc.

Her W cone gets an energy sweep treatment, and the E shield turns a cool blue that contrasts nicely against the default orange fire palette Annie usually runs. You know what surprised me most? The recall. Annie boards a small rocket pod while Tibbers stands guard, and it’s genuinely one of the better recall animations at this price point. Not gonna lie, I watched the full recall mid-game once during a Baron standoff and my support pinged me twice for it. Still did not skip it. Spammed this skin through most of Diamond in season 8 and never regretted the lock-in.

The R – Tibbers appearing on summon – is where the skin’s budget lands hardest. The mech drops in with actual visual weight that reads well in a teamfight. Stun indicator stays readable throughout which matters for Annie specifically: you proc the stun mid-fight and need to know at a glance if Tibbers will stagger their backline. Clean execution on the functional side. Voice lines stay base, no new VO – same Cristina Milizia performance as default.

The Super Galaxy skinline and Annie’s place in it

Super Galaxy released October 16, 2017. Annie joined Rumble, Nidalee, Fizz, and Shyvana in the set. The Super Galaxy theme has this clear internal logic – retro-anime mech sensibility, bright accent colors, hard sci-fi silhouettes. Annie fits the line naturally because Tibbers is basically a robot waiting to happen. (sidebar for Annie mains specifically: this is the only skin in her full catalog where Tibbers reads as genuinely intimidating on-screen rather than just cute.)

Mist XG nailed the splash art. Annie front and center in full space pilot gear, Tibbers towering behind her in mech form. The teal and orange contrast pops well on the client tile – holds up visually years after release, honestly one of the better palette choices in the Super Galaxy line. Shop has it at 1350 RP, permanent rotation, no loot restrictions.

Is Super Galaxy Annie worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: yes, for Annie mains. The Tibbers model alone justifies most of that 1350. VFX are clean, recall is genuinely good, and I think the Super Galaxy skinline fits Annie’s champion identity better than most of her catalog. No chromas available which is the one knock at this price point. Skip it if Annie is just a situational pick for you.

Arguably the best Annie skin at the Epic tier. Prom Queen is dated, Reverse Annie is a gag pick, and Annie-Versary is event-specific. Super Galaxy Annie is the practical mains choice – the one skin that makes Tibbers look like an actual game threat in teamfights. 1350 RP well spent for the Annie one-trick. Top pick for Annie mains, theres really not much competition in this price bracket. Main her? Get this one.
