Lunar Beast Annie Skin - Splash Art, Price & Chromas

First time I saw Lunar Beast Annie in a draft was a late-night ranked session, right after the February 4, 2021 patch hit. Enemy mid locked her in and Tibbers was already sending signals before the game started. Thats the thing about Annie skins – the bear sells it or it doesn’t. Here, the bear is a full-on mythical creature wrapped in red, gold, and festival fire. Different category from her older skins. Instant lock-in energy.

What Lunar Beast Annie actually changes

New VFX across the board. Annie’s Q hits with warm orange-gold particles that read completely different from base blue-fire Annie. The W spreads broader, more ceremonial. E gets a shield texture that fits the lantern aesthetic cleanly. And the R – summoning Tibbers – is where this Epic earns the 1350 RP. The recall is a full unique animation too, not some idle tweak they repackaged.

No new voice lines. Base VO, no changes. Cristina Milizia’s delivery works fine on any Annie skin, but fair warning – don’t lock this in expecting new Tibbers taunts or fresh Annie quotes. Voice stays default. Most Epics skip the VO anyway, so that’s standard practice.

Real talk though – every Annie skin lives or dies by Tibbers. The Lunar Beast version turns him into something between a dragon and a mythical ox, fire-bright and enormous. Tracked a few teamfights with this in mid last season and the Tibbers ult reads clearly on screen, your backline sees it coming way before the proc. (Random aside: I started recognizing enemy Annie skins specifically to track her ult CD in ranked – this one is the easiest to read.)

The Lunar Beast skinline and the 2021 release

Lunar Beast dropped February 4, 2021, as part of Riot’s Lunar New Year event lineup. The skinline covers Jarvan, Viego, Darius, Alistar among others. Annie is one of the better thematic fits here because fire bear and dragon energy are naturally the same lane. Red and gold are basically her colors anyway. Didn’t need much stretching to make this work conceptually.

Sangsoo Jeong painted the splash. The artwork leans into parade-float scale: massive Tibbers looming behind a tiny Annie, festival oranges and golds everywhere. Been maining Annie mid for a couple seasons now and this splash is easily one of the top two in her whole catalog. Genuinely good artwork, not just serviceable promotional material.

Kinda feels like 2021 was a strong year for the Lunar event skins overall. Three years later, the Lunar Beast line still looks cohesive as a set. Still holds up.

Chromas and is Lunar Beast Annie worth 1350 RP

Seven chromas in total. Amethyst flips the palette purple which makes Tibbers look darker and more threatening than base. Obsidian goes near-black, near charcoal – easily the edgiest version of this skin. Citrine swaps the red out for warm amber, which is maybe the most visually distinct chroma of the seven. The other four cover standard territory, nothing that stands out the same way those three do.

Should you buy it? Lunar Beast Annie sits in the Legacy catalog now – vault rotation, so you’re waiting for an event shop window or rolling from loot chests. That’s the only real friction here. At 1350 RP you’re getting new VFX, new recall, and a Tibbers that actually looks like a different creature. For Annie mains specifically, this is either the first or second pick depending on how much you care about the Lunar aesthetic. Worth 1350 RP if you main her. Hard pass if Annie isn’t part of your rotation.
