Prom Queen Annie

Prom Queen Annie puts a child character in a prom dress which is one of those early League skin concepts that would probably not get approved today. February 7, 2011 release. 520 RP. The Day Job skinline was Riot’s attempt at mundane real-world costume skins and Prom Queen Annie was part of that wave alongside stuff like Corporate Mundo. The idea is goofy. The execution is basic. But thats 2011 League for you.

The prom night model

Annie wears a pink prom dress with a tiara. Tibbers is unchanged from base which creates this funny visual of a girl in formal wear summoning a giant fire bear. No VFX changes on any ability. Q, W, E, R all use base Annie particles. No chromas. No new recall. At 520 RP from 2011 you got a model swap and nothing else. Legacy vault skin so its not in the regular shop rotation anymore.

Part of the Day Job skinline. Voice pack is base only. No splash artist listed. The splash itself has been updated at some point but the in-game model still carries that early League charm where everything looks slightly rough around the edges.

A collector’s curiosity

Real talk, Prom Queen Annie is not a skin you buy for gameplay visuals. Its a skin you own because you rolled it from Hextech crafting or because you were playing League in 2011 and thought it was funny. Annie has what, 15+ skins now? Fright Night, Hextech, Super Galaxy, Lunar Beast all offer actual VFX changes. Prom Queen sits at the bottom of her catalog in terms of visual value. Keep it if you have it. Seek it out only if you are collecting every Annie skin. Otherwise there are better ways to spend your crafting resources. The prom dress is cute in a retro way though. Cannot deny that.
