FrankenTibbers Annie

FrankenTibbers Annie dropped October 19, 2011 as a Halloween skin and it is still one of the better holiday skins from that era. Kienan “Knockwurst” Lafferty went hard on the splash showing Annie as a mad scientist child with Tibbers reimagined as Frankenstein’s monster. The concept predates Fright Night Annie by over a decade but it lands in a similar horror-comedy space. At 975 RP this was a solid Halloween pickup back in season 1 and it holds up better than most 2011 skins.

The model puts Annie in a lab coat with goggles pushed up on her head. Little mad scientist girl. Tibbers becomes this stitched-together monster bear with bolts sticking out of his neck. Frankenstein energy. The VFX get some updates with green lightning-themed particles on abilities. Q fires with a greenish tinge. W fans out with subtle electric effects mixed into the flame cone. R summons FrankenTibbers with a lightning strike and the monster bear stomps around with visible stitching and bolts.

In the Legacy vault so it rotates in and out of availability. Part of the Trick-or-Treat skinline alongside other Halloween skins. 975 RP. No chromas. Voice stays default. The recall has some Halloween flair to it. Not sure if it’s just me but the FrankenTibbers model might actually be scarier than base Tibbers in certain lighting conditions on the Rift. The stitching detail on the bear reads surprisingly well for a 2011 skin.

Halloween Annie before Fright Night existed

Fright Night Annie is the current Halloween champion pick for Annie. Better VFX, better model, more chromas. But FrankenTibbers has the OG Halloween factor. If you have both, FrankenTibbers is the nostalgia pick and Fright Night is the performance pick. If you only want one Halloween Annie, Fright Night is the move in 2026. But at 975 RP when it shows up in the Legacy rotation, FrankenTibbers is cheap enough that owning both isnt unreasonable.

The mad scientist girl with a monster bear companion is a concept that still works thematically. Riot just does it better now with higher production budgets. Respect the original though. Dropped R in an ARAM game with this skin around midnight on actual Halloween and FrankenTibbers chasing three people across the bridge was comedy gold.
