First time I saw Battle Bunny Riven load in was season 3. Could be wrong here but I think it was a top lane mirror where the enemy Riven had it and I immediately felt outclassed before minions even spawned. The skin just has presence. Not gonna lie, it caught me off guard how much a costume swap changes the vibe of a champion who’s supposed to be this brooding exile.
What the skin actually brings
Battle Bunny Riven swaps her usual armor for a bunny outfit. Full playboy-style leotard, bunny ears, fishnets, the works. Her broken blade gets a carrot-themed redesign which sounds ridiculous and honestly it is. But somehow it works in game. The model reads cleanly in lane and the silhouette stays distinct during teamfights.
VFX got a touch-up. Her Q combo has adjusted particles, and the ult activation looks slightly different from base. Nothing dramatic for a 975 RP Standard tier skin. Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Been running this in Diamond games off and on since like season 5 and the animations feel identical to default Riven. Same fast Q cancels, same smooth W stun. No gameplay clarity issues at all.
(Random aside: my duo partner refuses to play with me when I use this skin because he says it’s “cringe” but he mains Draven so I dont think he gets to talk.) The recall is unchanged from base. Simple change – huge impact on how Riven feels to pilot though. Something about the lighter color palette makes her feel faster even when she isnt.
Release and the Day Job skinline
Released April 6, 2012. Early season 2 vibes. Kienan ‘Knockwurst’ Lafferty nailed the splash, that pose with the carrot blade is iconic at this point. The Day Job skinline is one of Riot’s more playful concepts. Riven as a bunny girl fits the theme of champions in weird jobs or costumes.
8 chromas total. Amethyst is my personal pick, the purple tones work better against the Rift’s green than the base white. Ruby runs a close second if you want something that pops in bot lane specifically during those late game teamfights. Astral goes full pink-magenta which honestly reads a bit too loud for my taste. Rest of them are fine but nothing I’d lock in over those two. Sits in the shop at 975 RP, permanent availability.
Should you buy Battle Bunny Riven?
Real verdict: this is one of those skins that transcended its tier. Battle Bunny Riven became a meme, a flex, and a genuine fan favorite all at once. Played maybe 40 games with it last month around 2 AM grinding ranked and it still holds up. Might be overthinking it but the skin feels like it attracts more aggro from enemy junglers. Like they see the bunny ears and just have to gank you.
975 RP feels fair for what you get. You’re not getting Legendary-level changes here. No new voice, no fancy recall. But for Riven mains and one-tricks who want something lighter than her usual edge-lord aesthetic, this is the pick. Been a solo queue staple for over a decade and thats not an accident. Skip the chromas unless Amethyst or Ruby catch your eye. The base white is already clean enough for most comps.
