Sejuani Dawnchaser

First time I locked in Sejuani Dawnchaser was late season 7 and I remember thinking this looked way too clean for a 750 RP skin. Not gonna lie, it caught me off guard. The whole paladin fantasy thing works on Sejuani in a way I wasnt expecting, especially when you’re frontlining teamfights and peeling for your backline. Something about charging into five people on a giant armored boar with holy knight vibes just hits different.

What Sejuani Dawnchaser actually brings

For a Standard tier skin at 750 RP, the model changes carry real weight here. Sejuani gets full plate armor with gold and white accents, her boar Bristle is decked out in matching barding, and the whole silhouette reads like a mounted crusader. The VFX got some love too. Subtle shifts in particle colors lean into that warm golden palette, which is a nice touch for a skin at this price point.

No new voice lines. Base VO all the way. Kinda feels like Riot could have at least thrown in a voice filter for the helmet but whatever, 750 RP is 750 RP. No new recall animation either, so you’re getting the standard Sejuani recall. The value proposition here is really the model and the VFX tweaks.

Playing this in the jungle, the golden tint on her abilities reads cleanly against the Rift. Her Q engage specifically pops more than base, and the W swings feel heavier visually even though the animation is technically the same. Been running this skin through maybe 40 or 50 Diamond games this season and the readability is solid. Your team sees a golden knight charging in, enemy team sees the same thing. Clean.

The Rift Quest line and release context

Sejuani Dawnchaser dropped November 17, 2016. Part of the Rift Quest skinline, which is basically Riot’s love letter to tabletop RPG culture. Think D&D party comp but on the Rift. Sejuani fills the paladin role, and it suits her kit perfectly. Tank who charges in and locks people down? Paladin energy through and through.

Christian Fell nailed the splash art. The composition puts Sejuani front and center on Bristle mid-charge, golden light streaming behind her. It reads like a fantasy novel cover (random aside: I had this as my client background for like two months straight before switching back). The Rift Quest line has some bangers across the board but Sejuani’s entry holds up well even years later.

No chromas for this one. Zero. What you see is what you get. Shop has it, permanent availability, so no vault anxiety or loot-only shenanigans.

Should you pick up Sejuani Dawnchaser?

Real verdict: 750 RP feels fair for what you get. Maybe just my experience but I think this is one of the better budget Sejuani options. The paladin aesthetic is distinct enough from her other skins that it earns a spot in the rotation. Not sure if it’s just me but I keep coming back to this one over Bear Cavalry some weeks, and Bear Cavalry costs more.

If you’re a Sejuani main who likes the fantasy knight look, this is a no-brainer pickup. If you’re saving for Hextech or PROJECT Sejuani, those obviously offer more in terms of new effects and recall. But for pure model quality at this price? Dawnchaser punches above its weight. Played a ranked game last Friday around midnight where I ganked bot lane on this skin and my duo said “wait that skin actually looks sick” and yeah. Pretty much sums it up. Standard pricing, above-average skin. Worth 750 if you main Sejuani, skip it if you already have a Legendary in the collection and dont play her much.
