Sejuani Skins

Sejuani is one of those champions where the skin catalog tells a weird story. Thirteen skins across a decade, ranging from 2012 relics to 2022 Eclipse theming, and somehow Riot never gave her a Legendary. Not one. Been maining tanks in Diamond for years and Sejuani has been in my jungle rotation since season 3. Her skin collection is solid but not deep, if that makes sense. Couple of real standouts, some forgettable 750 RP textures, and one Mythic that most people will never own. Thats the Sejuani experience in a nutshell.

How Sejuani's Skin Collection Evolved

Thirteen skins total for a champion released in 2012. Not bad, not great. Could be wrong here but I think she's somewhere in the middle of the roster when it comes to cosmetic attention. The breakdown is 7 Standard tier skins, 5 Epics, and 1 Mythic. Zero Legendaries. Let that sink in for a second.

The early years were rough. Darkrider Sejuani dropped in 2012 as her oldest skin and it shows its age hard. Same with Sabretusk. These are texture swaps from an era where Riot was pumping out skins at volume without worrying too much about quality. Traditional Sejuani exists because of her visual rework back in the day, which is a neat time capsule but not something you'd lock in for ranked games in 2026.

Things picked up around 2013-2015 with Bear Cavalry and Poro Rider. Bear Cavalry was the first skin that felt like Riot actually cared about giving Sejuani a unique identity beyond "lady on a boar." Poro Rider leaned into the cute angle. Both still hold up surprisingly well.

The Epic era really started with Firecracker Sejuani and PROJECT: Sejuani. These are proper 1350 RP skins with new particles, sounds, and recall animations. Felt like Riot finally figured out what to do with a mounted champion. Solar Eclipse in 2022 is her newest and arguably her most polished release. Ten years from Darkrider to Solar Eclipse and the quality jump is massive.

Then there's Hextech Sejuani sitting in the Mythic tier. Special currency only. Seen maybe two of these in my games across multiple seasons. Clean skin but the exclusivity makes it hard to recommend as a realistic pickup for most players.

Best Skins for Sejuani

Okay here's where opinions get spicy. Been playing Sejuani on and off since her rework and I've tried every skin she has. Some are clear winners.

Bear Cavalry Sejuani is the GOAT pick. Full stop. Released at 1350 RP and still one of the best Epic-tier skins for any tank jungler. Sejuani rides a massive armored bear instead of Bristle. The Q charge on that bear feels heavier somehow, like the visual weight matches the impact of slamming into a teamfight. W swings have this satisfying chunk to the animation. Not sure if it's just me but my clear speed feels faster on this skin. Placebo for sure, but the animations are that smooth.

PROJECT: Sejuani goes full sci-fi. Cyber boar, neon particles on every ability, the whole package. Her R ult especially looks incredible with the tech overlay on the bola. Locked in this skin for an entire split back in season 10 I think. The recall animation where Bristle transforms is a nice touch. 1350 RP well spent for mains who want that futuristic edge.

Solar Eclipse Sejuani came out in 2022 and its her most visually refined skin. The Eclipse skinline suits tanky champions well and Sejuani fits the celestial warrior fantasy naturally. Golden armor, divine particles on her W, and the R has this solar flare explosion effect that looks clean in teamfights. (Random aside: the splash art for this one is genuinely wallpaper material.) Might be her best 1350 skin purely on VFX quality.

Firecracker Sejuani brings the Lunar Revel energy. Riding a pig themed boar with firework particles. Her ult literally launches a firework that explodes on the target. Fun skin. Great for ARAM. Not gonna lie, I pull this one out every Lunar New Year and it just hits different during that event window.

Hextech Sejuani rounds out the top picks but the Mythic exclusivity hurts. Beautiful crystal and gold aesthetic on Bristle, translucent blue particles on abilities. If you have the gemstones or Mythic Essence to spare, its worth the craft. But most Sejuani mains will never own this one.

Skinlines and Thematic Fits

Sejuani appears across a bunch of skinlines and some fit better than others. The PROJECT line works because the tech-armor-on-a-mount concept translates well to sci-fi. Solar Eclipse works because Sejuani already has that warrior priestess energy in her base kit. Prehistoric Hunters (Beast Hunter Sejuani) makes sense thematically but the execution at 750 RP is underwhelming.

The Wonders of the World line gave us Bear Cavalry which is probably the best thematic match in her entire catalog. Slavic-inspired heavy cavalry riding an actual bear into battle. Fits Sejuani's Freljord warrior identity while giving it a real-world historical twist. Honestly not gonna lie, this skinline should have gotten more champions.

Winter Wonder and Poro Rider tap into the cute Freljord angle. Poro Rider specifically leans hard into the poro meme and it works for what it is. Not something you'd take into a sweaty Diamond promo game but perfect for normals with friends last Tuesday around midnight.

Death Sworn is conspicuously absent from her catalog even though it would fit. Same with Coven. Kinda feels like Riot keeps putting Sejuani in lighter skinlines when she'd absolutely crush it in darker thematic spaces. The Rift Quest (Dawnchaser) skin went the RPG fantasy route which is fun but niche. Traditional exists as a rework artifact.

Real talk though - the skinline diversity is decent for 13 skins. She's not stuck in one aesthetic lane. You get military, sci-fi, celestial, festive, and cute options. Just no dark/horror themes which feels like a missed opportunity for a Freljord warlord riding a massive boar.

Budget Picks vs Premium Options

Here's the thing with Sejuani skins. Her price range spans 750 to 1350 RP (plus the Mythic). No Legendary at 1820. No Ultimate. The ceiling is 1350 and honestly thats fine because her Epics deliver.

If you're climbing ranked on a budget, Poro Rider at 975 RP punches above its weight class. Unique model, different mount, fun recall. Not as polished as the 1350 options but solid value. Sabretusk and Darkrider at 750 are texture swaps and feel like it. Beast Hunter same story.

At the 1350 tier you've got four strong options. Bear Cavalry for the classic pick, PROJECT for sci-fi lovers, Solar Eclipse for the newest and cleanest VFX, Firecracker for seasonal vibes. Any of these is a good buy. If I had to pick one skin for Sejuani and never buy another, Bear Cavalry. Every time. The bear mount alone is worth the price and the skin has aged incredibly well for something that came out years ago.

Victorious Sejuani deserves a mention. Can't buy it. Had to earn Gold+ in the season it was distributed. If you have it, cool flex. If you dont, no way to get it now. Decent looking skin but the flex factor is the real value there.

Point I'm making is this: Sejuani's best skins are all 1350 RP. You dont need to spend big. The Mythic is luxury, the Standards are dated, and the Epics are where the real value sits. Grab Bear Cavalry or Solar Eclipse and you're set for seasons.
