Order of the Banana Soraka

First time I saw Order of the Banana Soraka in a loading screen I thought someone was trolling. Bright yellow banana horn, fruit-themed outfit, the whole thing looks like a Soraka cosplay gone beautifully wrong. Been running this skin in Diamond support games for years now and honestly the reactions from teammates never get old. Someone in champ select always types “banana?” and I just lock in harder.

What the skin actually changes

So this is a Standard 750 RP skin. Straight up texture and model swap, no fancy particles or recall animation. Voice lines stay base. But thats kind of the point here. The charm is entirely in the visual concept: Soraka dressed up in a banana-themed robe with a crescent that looks like a peeled banana on her head. Clean silhouette change.

Not gonna lie, the model holds up surprisingly well for a 2015 release. The yellow-and-brown color palette reads clearly on the Rift, which matters more than people think. Had a game last week where my ADC said the skin was “tilting the enemy Draven” because he kept focusing me in lane. Could be wrong here but I think meme skins genuinely affect opponent decision-making sometimes.

No new VFX on Q or W, so your Starcall and Astral Infusion look the same as base Soraka. E still drops the normal silence zone. R is unchanged too. For 750 RP though, nobody expects particle work. The model does the heavy lifting and it does it well. Playing this skin, the banana horn is visible even in chaotic teamfights which is kind of impressive for such a simple cosmetic change.

Release and the High Society line

Order of the Banana Soraka dropped March 31, 2015. Right around the time Riot was experimenting with more humorous skin concepts. Part of the High Society skinline, which is one of those smaller thematic groups Riot puts out. The High Society line leans into absurd formal wear vibes and Soraka fits it naturally with the banana motif.

No chromas available for this one. (Random aside: I genuinely think a green unripe banana chroma would sell incredibly well but Riot hasnt touched this skin since release.) No splash artist credited in the data, but whoever painted it captured the goofy energy perfectly. The splash has Soraka holding a banana staff with this serene expression like she’s completely unaware of how ridiculous she looks.

Shop has it for 750 RP any time you want. Permanent availability, no vault rotation nonsense. For a meme skin at this price point theres zero reason to hesitate if you play Soraka even occasionally.

Is Order of the Banana Soraka worth 750 RP?

Real verdict: this is one of the best value skins in the game. Full stop. 750 RP feels fair for what you get. The concept is perfect, the execution is clean, and it aged better than skins released two years after it. Been maining Soraka with this equipped since maybe season 7 or 8, dont remember exactly, and I keep coming back to it over skins that cost twice as much.

Star Guardian Soraka exists. Dawnbringer exists. Both are objectively more feature-rich. But Order of the Banana Soraka has personality that expensive skins cant buy. Every time I peel for my ADC with E silence into Q slow, the banana horn bobbing around just makes the whole thing better. Had a ranked session around 1 AM last Tuesday where my duo partner said “the banana is carrying us” after I hit a clutch ult to save our jungler mid-gank. Skin diff.

Skip this if you need flashy VFX or new voice lines on your support picks. Worth 750 RP if you main Soraka and appreciate skins that dont take themselves seriously. Arguably the most iconic Soraka skin for a reason. The banana queen of bot lane. S-tier meme cosmetic.
