First game I played with Cafe Cuties Soraka was a late night ranked session, maybe 1 AM on a Wednesday. My ADC locked in Jinx, I hovered this skin, and the loading screen splash alone got a “nice skin” in chat. Thats rare for a support pick. The whole aesthetic caught me off guard when it first dropped because Soraka doesn’t usually get the “cute” treatment this hard. She’s normally all celestial healer vibes, stars and cosmic energy. This one turns her into a full-on pastry chef serving healing with a side of macarons.

What Cafe Cuties Soraka actually brings

New VFX across the board. Her Q drops what looks like a swirl of cream and sugar onto the ground instead of the usual starfall. Feels lighter, reads cleaner in teamfights where you’re trying to land it on the backline while dodging skill shots. The W heal has this warm pastry glow to it, pink and golden tones that actually make it easier to see who you’re healing in a messy fight around dragon pit.

E is where it gets interesting. The zone of silence gets this tea party circle effect. Played maybe 40 games with this skin in Diamond last season and I swear the E looked slightly smaller visually even though it’s the same hitbox. Could be wrong here but it felt like enemies walked into it more often. Placebo or pay-to-win, you decide.

Her ult keeps the global heal fantasy but wraps it in Cafe Cuties pastels. Pink and cream waves across the Rift. New recall animation too, she does this whole tea service thing. Cute without being obnoxious. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is fine honestly. Lisa Lindsley’s original Soraka voice works well enough with the skin’s vibe. Not gonna lie, I expected at least a voice filter for 1350 RP but the VFX carry the value here.

(Random aside: my duo partner who mains Soraka has this skin permanently equipped and gets tilted when I suggest Dawnbringer is better. It’s become a running joke in our Discord.)

The Cafe Cuties line and release context

Cafe Cuties Soraka released December 2, 2021. Late into season 11, right around preseason chaos. The Cafe Cuties skinline launched with a solid batch. Gwen, Bard, Annie, Vladimir all got skins in the same set. Soraka fits the theme naturally because the healer-as-barista concept just works.

Ina Wong and West Studio handled the artwork. They cooked on the splash, Soraka pouring tea with that serene expression while the cafe background has all these little details. Worth zooming in on.

8 chromas total. Sapphire is my go-to because the deep blue contrasts hard against the pastel base and reads really clean on the Rift. Obsidian goes full dark mode, which feels wrong for a cafe skin but looks incredible in game. Pearl keeps the soft aesthetic but shifts everything lighter. Not gonna list every single one but Ruby and Tanzanite are solid picks too if you want something that pops in lane.

This Epic tier skin sits at 1350 RP. Shop has it, permanent availability. For the Cafe Cuties line specifically I think Soraka got the best treatment. Bard’s version is good but Soraka’s VFX feel more cohesive with the theme.

How it compares for Soraka mains

Soraka has a deep skin pool at this point. Star Guardian is the flashy pick. Dawnbringer and Nightbringer offer the prestige factor. Celestine is the classic. Where does Cafe Cuties land? Somewhere in the top three for me. The VFX clarity is genuinely good for ranked play. Been running this in Diamond games where every Q landing matters for sustain in lane and the visual feedback feels snappier than base or Program.

Real talk though, if you already own Dawnbringer Soraka you might not need this one. Different vibe entirely but similar quality level. Dawnbringer leans epic and dramatic, Cafe Cuties leans cozy and clean. Depends on your mood. I rotate between both depending on whether I’m feeling tryhard or just vibing in a normal game.

Season 12 I think, had a game where I hit a five-person ult with this skin and the pink wave across the map just felt right. Small thing but cosmetics matter when you’re grinding ranked for hours.

Should you buy it?

Verdict time. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on every ability, solid recall, 8 chromas if you want variety. No new voice lines holds it back slightly from being perfect but that’s standard for Epic tier. Skip this if you’re not a Soraka player because the skin doesn’t transcend champion loyalty. But if you main her or even play her as a pocket pick in your support pool, Cafe Cuties Soraka is a strong addition.

Might be overthinking it but I genuinely believe the Q VFX on this skin read better than any other Soraka skin in chaotic teamfights. That alone makes it worth considering for anyone climbing with her. Top pick for Soraka mains who want something cute without going full Star Guardian sparkle. 1350 RP well spent for mains.
