Huntress Sivir

First time I saw Huntress Sivir in a loading screen I genuinely thought someone was running a custom skin mod. This thing looks like it crawled out of season 1 and never looked back. Not gonna lie, there’s a certain charm to that. Sivir already has the boomerang blade warrior fantasy going and this skin just cranks the tribal hunter angle up to ten. Played a handful of games with it last week in Diamond and got two comments in all chat about looking like a cave painting. Worth it.

What Huntress Sivir actually changes

So lets be real about what you’re getting here. Huntress Sivir is a Standard tier skin, which means texture and model swap only. No new VFX on her Q boomerang, no new particles when you pop W Ricochet, no fresh recall animation. Voice lines stay base. The boomerang blade itself gets a slight redesign to look more like a primitive hunting weapon, bone and leather vibes instead of the polished metal of default Sivir.

The outfit swaps to this fur and hide getup that reads “prehistoric huntress” pretty clearly. Kinda feels like Riot looked at Sivir’s base kit and said “what if she was throwing that thing at a mammoth instead of at the enemy ADC.” The color palette goes earthy, lots of browns and tanned leather. Hair changes too, more wild and loose compared to her base look.

In lane the skin is subtle. Your cs animations look the same, poke with Q reads identically for enemies, and the W bounces dont have any new flair. For a Standard skin released back in 2011 thats expected. Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack animation feels slightly different on this one, might just be the weapon model tricking my brain. Played maybe 15 games total with it and still not sure.

Teamfight readability is fine. Your ult On The Hunt still has the base VFX, your E spellshield same deal. Nothing here is going to confuse anyone or give you a visual edge. Simple change – huge impact on the flavor though.

The Prehistoric Hunters line and when this dropped

Huntress Sivir released February 7, 2011. Early League days. Season 1 was barely wrapping up around that time, I think ranked had like 12 people playing it. The Prehistoric Hunters skinline is one of those old Riot themes that never really got expanded into a massive universe. It’s a small line but it fits Sivir perfectly since her whole identity is the mercenary battle huntress.

No splash artist credited for this one, which tracks for skins from that era. Riot wasn’t exactly putting “art by” credits on everything back in 2011. The splash itself is dated but has personality. (Random aside: the old Sivir splashes have this 2000s fantasy art book energy that I kind of miss.)

Pricing on Huntress Sivir is listed as Special. No chromas available for this one. Shop has it if you want to pick it up, permanent availability so no vault stress.

Should you lock in Huntress Sivir?

Straight talk: if you main Sivir and you want every skin in the collection, Huntress is a cheap pickup that scratches a specific itch. The prehistoric look stands out in a champion pool dominated by futuristic and flashy skins like Project and Odyssey. Been running this in ranked on and off since maybe season 9 or 10 dont remember exactly, and it holds up better than you’d expect for a skin this old.

Skip this if you need new VFX or recall animations. Sivir has better options for that. But for the price point and the vibe? Solid. One of those skins where you lock it in and your support goes “wait what skin is that” in champ select around 11 PM on a Tuesday. That alone makes it fun. Not the best Sivir skin full stop, but it earns its spot in the rotation for mains who like cycling through the whole catalog. Special price feels fair for the package you get.
