First time I saw High Noon Irelia load into my game I thought someone was running a custom skin. The western aesthetic on a blade dancer just shouldnt work. Irelia floating glowing spirit blades around in a cowgirl hat and duster? Sounds ridiculous on paper. But Riot pulled it off and I’ve had this locked in for most of my ranked games since season 10.
What the skin actually changes
High Noon Irelia turns her blades into these golden spirit-infused knives. They catch light differently depending on the angle, and in teamfights with a lot of particle effects going on, your Q resets actually read cleaner than base Irelia. Not sure if it’s just me but the dashes feel snappier visually. Something about the trail VFX.
The W channel is where this skin earns its 1350 RP. Irelia holds up this golden barrier and the whole thing glows with that High Noon demon energy. Orange and gold particles swirl around her. Looks menacing when you’re holding it in lane waiting to soak a Syndra combo.
Her E marks the ground with these spirit lines that feel thematic. The stun connect animation has a slight western flair to it. R is solid too – the blades fan out with golden trails and the wall they create has that High Noon supernatural glow. Been playing maybe 40 games with this skin last month in Diamond and the ult wall is genuinely easier to track for my teammates. Had my Kayn actually follow up on an R engage three games in a row last Wednesday, might be coincidence but I think the visual clarity helps.
Recall animation is new. She does this dramatic blade flourish thing. Clean.
Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Standard for an Epic tier skin. Honestly its fine because Cherami Leigh’s base Irelia voice already carries enough personality.
The High Noon line and release context
High Noon Irelia dropped June 18, 2020. Mid season 10. Kudos Productions handled the artwork and they captured the vibe perfectly. The splash has Irelia standing in this dusty canyon with her blades orbiting behind her like a halo. Real spaghetti western energy.
The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s strongest. Been running since 2018 and keeps getting expansions. Irelia fits the supernatural gunslinger theme well because her blades translate naturally into the floating spirit weapon fantasy that High Noon leans into. She’s not holding a revolver like some of the others, the blades ARE her weapons and they just got reskinned into golden spirit knives.
7 chromas available for this one. Obsidian is my go-to, turns the whole palette dark and the golden VFX pop harder against the darker model. Tanzanite gives her this purple mystic look that reads more like a Dark Star skin than High Noon. Rose Quartz is surprisingly clean for anyone who wants the pink aesthetic without going full Star Guardian. (Random aside: my duo partner bought every single chroma day one and still only uses Obsidian, so take that for what its worth.)
Shop has it. Permanent availability, grab it whenever.
Should you pick this up?
Real talk though. Irelia has a stacked skin catalog. Divine Sword exists. Project exists. Spirit Blossom exists. High Noon competes in a crowded space and I think it holds up as a top three Irelia skin, maybe top two depending on your taste.
1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on every ability, solid recall, strong splash, 7 chromas if you want variety. Could be wrong here but I think this reads better in game than Divine Sword because the color palette is more unique. Most Irelia skins lean blue or purple or white. High Noon goes warm gold and orange. Stands out on the Rift.
Skip this if you already own Spirit Blossom and only want one Irelia skin. But for Irelia mains who rotate between two or three skins per season, High Noon earned a permanent spot in my rotation around patch 10.13 and hasnt left. Been maining Irelia with this through two full ranked seasons at this point. The Q reset animations alone make it worth the price for anyone who plays her in lane regularly. Top pick for Irelia mains who want something that doesn’t look like every other blade-themed fantasy skin in the game.
