First time I saw High Noon Hecarim load into a game I actually stopped moving for a second. The skeletal horse, the flaming rider, the whole undead cowboy package. Been running this skin in Diamond for a couple seasons now and it still gets comments in lobby. Not gonna lie, Hecarim has a lot of skins but this one hits a specific fantasy that none of the others touch.

What the skin actually changes

So the big draw here is the VFX overhaul. Hecarim’s Q slashes come out with this dusty orange fire trail that reads clean in teamfights. You can actually track your Q stacks better with this skin than base, which sounds dumb but matters when you’re trying to proc max damage during a gank. The W healing circle gets this spectral green-flame effect that looks sick in the jungle, especially during early clears around raptors.

E charge-up is where it gets good. The whole model shifts into this full gallop with fire trailing behind, and the impact on a backline ADC feels heavier somehow. Placebo? Probably. But I swear my engages land harder with this skin on. The ult sends out these ghostly riders that look way more threatening than base Hecarim’s green blob. Real talk though, the R visuals alone justify the purchase for me.

The recall animation is a standout. Hecarim does this whole wild west showdown pose. Short, clean, no unnecessary flair. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, but the skin doesnt need it. The sound effects on abilities carry enough weight. (Random aside: I use this recall to BM after stealing dragon and it never gets old.)

The High Noon line and release context

High Noon Hecarim dropped October 10, 2019. Late season 9. Sean ‘Raiko’ Tay and West Studio handled the artwork, and they captured the undead rider vibe perfectly. The splash has Hecarim charging through what looks like a burning frontier town. Phone wallpaper material.

The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s most consistent themes. Lucian, Thresh, Jhin – there’s heavy hitters in this line. Hecarim fits naturally because the champion already has that spectral horseman identity, so slapping a cowboy hat and some hellfire on him just works. High Noon as a concept leans into the demonic western thing and Hecarim was honestly an obvious pick for the roster.

5 chromas total. Obsidian turns the whole thing dark and menacing, which I think reads better than base in most games. Amethyst gives it this purple ethereal look that pops against the Rift’s green. Ruby exists but kinda feels like a downgrade from the default orange fire. Could be wrong here but I think most Hecarim mains gravitate toward Obsidian or just stick with base colors.

Is High Noon Hecarim worth 1350 RP?

Straight talk: this is a strong Epic skin. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on every ability, solid recall, clean model work. You’re not getting new voice lines at this price point and thats expected. Standard pricing for above-average execution.

Played maybe 150 games with this skin last season in the bot lane specifically – wait no, jungle obviously – and it never felt stale. The particles stay readable even in late-game teamfights where you’re diving into five people with E into R. Might be overthinking it but the fire effects actually help me track my own position in chaotic fights better than Arcade or Elderwood Hecarim.

If you main Hecarim this is a must-own. Sits in the shop permanently so no rush, but I’d put it top two or three in his skin catalog. Lancer Zero is the prestige pick and Cosmic Charger has its fans, but High Noon nails the power fantasy better than both. The High Noon theme just belongs on a charging spectral horseman. S-tier Hecarim cosmetic. Worth 1350 RP if you main Hecarim, skip it if you’re just passing through the champion on your way to climbing with something else. Been daily driving this since around season 10 I think and dont see myself switching anytime soon.
