Order of the Lotus Irelia

First time I saw Order of the Lotus Irelia in a loading screen I thought it was a 1350 skin. Not gonna lie, the splash alone had me fooled for a solid minute before I checked the price tag. 750 RP. Thats it. For an Irelia skin that actually changes VFX and has a custom recall, that number felt wrong in the best way.

What the skin actually brings

So the big deal here is that Order of the Lotus Irelia gets new visual effects at 750 RP, which is rare for this price bracket. Her blades carry this soft pink and gold petal trail that reads clean against the Rift. The Q resets in teamfights look genuinely different from base, little lotus bursts following each dash. Pretty thing to watch when you’re resetting through a backline.

The recall animation is the real highlight. Irelia meditates with her blades forming a lotus pattern around her. Simple concept, clean execution. Been running this in Diamond games since maybe season 7 or 8 and the recall still holds up visually against skins that cost twice as much.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO. Fair enough at this price point. Her model gets a complete outfit swap though. White and pink robes, gold accents on the blades, the whole Eastern temple warrior look. Kinda feels like Riot put more effort into this one than they needed to for a 750 skin. The blade design specifically stands out, each one shaped like a lotus petal, and they catch light differently during her E stun.

One thing I noticed around last October playing against a fed Irelia with this skin – the W channel is harder to read than base. Could be wrong here but the pink VFX blend into certain map textures near dragon pit. Not gamebreaking, just something I clocked after maybe 40 games facing it.

The Order of the Lotus line and release context

Order of the Lotus dropped June 3, 2015. Pre-rework Irelia era. Michelle Hoefener nailed the splash, the composition with the floating blades and temple background captures the skinline’s vibe perfectly. Real craft in that piece.

The Order of the Lotus skinline includes Karma too. Riot clearly had a theme going with the Ionian spiritual warrior aesthetic. Irelia fits it naturally. The skinline never got huge like Star Guardian or PROJECT, but the skins in it hold their own. Quality over quantity situation.

Should you pick up Order of the Lotus Irelia?

Verdict time. 750 RP for new VFX, a custom recall, and a model that looks premium. Overdelivers. Hard to argue against 750 RP when you’re getting more than some 975 skins offer. I’ve seen maybe 5 of these in my ranked games all season, which is a shame because it’s quietly one of the better value Irelia skins in the catalog.

If you’re climbing with Irelia and dont want to drop 1350+ on Divine Sword or Spirit Blossom, this is the budget pick that doesnt feel budget. The VFX are distinct enough that your Q resets and E stuns read differently in lane, which matters when you’re trading pre-6. Worth it. Spammed this in Diamond for two full seasons before switching to Mythmaker, and I still rotate back to it when I want something clean without the visual noise that Legendary skins pile on.

Skip it only if you already own three or four Irelia skins. Otherwise, 750 RP well spent for mains.
