First time I saw iG Irelia load in, I thought it was a custom skin someone modded into the client. The black and white color scheme hits so clean compared to most Irelia skins that lean heavy into fantasy colors. Been running this in Diamond for a while now and honestly not gonna lie, it might be the most underrated Worlds skin in the entire game.

What the skin actually changes

So iG Irelia is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, and it earns that price tag. The blades floating around Irelia get this sleek silver and black treatment that makes them look like actual weapons instead of magical ornaments. Her Q dash leaves a sharp white trail that reads way better in teamfights than base. You know what surprised me? The W channel. The damage reduction stance gets this clean monochrome particle effect that makes it obvious when you’re holding it, which actually matters for gameplay clarity in the mid lane.

Her E marks feel crisper too. Not sure if it’s just me but the stun particles seem easier to track against the Rift compared to base Irelia’s purple VFX. The R, Vanguard’s Edge, throws out these white blade walls that look incredible in a teamfight engage. Played maybe 40 games with this skin last season and the ult wall specifically felt more satisfying to land.

New recall animation too. Irelia does this pose with the iG logo, standard Worlds skin stuff but executed well. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is expected for a 1350 RP esports skin. The model itself wears this black and white uniform with gold accents that reference the Invictus Gaming jersey. Simple change – huge impact on how Irelia reads in game.

iG Irelia dropped April 23, 2019, part of the World Champions: 2018 skinline celebrating Invictus Gaming’s Worlds run. Pan Chengwei nailed the splash, capturing that aggressive stance Irelia mains know too well. The whole iG set was stacked with Irelia, Fiora, Camille, Kai’Sa, LeBlanc, and Rakan. Irelia’s is arguably the best executed of the set.

The World Champions: 2018 line carries that minimalist black-white-gold aesthetic across all six skins. Fits Irelia naturally because her blade dancer silhouette already looks good in sleek designs. (Random aside: TheShy’s Irelia at Worlds 2018 was genuinely terrifying to watch, the skin feels like it captures that energy.)

There’s 1 chroma available, the Elite version. It swaps in blue and gold tones that give the skin a more royal look. Kinda feels like it leans closer to a traditional esports jersey vibe. Worth grabbing if you can find it, though availability on Worlds chromas is always weird.

Legacy vault skin, so you cant just buy it whenever. Gotta wait for the vault to open or get lucky with Hextech crafting. Seen maybe 5 of these in my games all season, which is a shame because it deserves more play.

Is iG Irelia worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: if you main Irelia and you care about clean VFX that dont distract you mid-combo, this is a top pick. The black and white palette reads so well during Q resets in a dive that it almost feels like a competitive advantage. Last Tuesday I was spamming ranked and someone in post-game asked what skin I was using because the particles looked “different.” Thats the mark of a good skin.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX, new recall, strong model. The only knock is no new voice lines, but at this price point thats standard. If you already own Divine Sword or Spirit Blossom Irelia you might not need another option, but iG Irelia fills a niche none of her other skins touch. That clean esports aesthetic with no fantasy elements. Top pick for Irelia mains, and worth hunting down when the Legacy vault opens. Season 9 I think when it first came out, been a staple in my Irelia rotation since.
