iG Camille

First time I saw iG Camille load into a game I thought it was a custom skin someone modded in. The black and white color scheme is so clean it almost doesnt look like it belongs in League. Been maining Camille on and off since season 8 and this one caught me off guard when it dropped back in April 2019.

What the iG skin actually changes on Camille

So the whole deal with World Champions skins is they commemorate the winning roster. iG Camille represents TheShy’s pick from the 2018 World Championship run, and Riot built the skin around that black and white Invictus Gaming jersey palette. Clean stuff.

The model swap is striking. Camille goes from her usual grey-steel look to this sleek monochrome outfit with iG branding worked into the design. Her leg blades get a white-and-black treatment that honestly reads better in teamfights than some of her pricier skins. Not gonna lie, the silhouette pops harder in lane than I expected from a 1350 RP Epic tier skin.

VFX got a full rework for this price point. Her Q proc lights up with white energy instead of the default blue, and the second Q hit has this satisfying bright flash. W sweep comes out with iG-branded particles, the outer cone especially looks sharp against darker Rift terrain. E hookshot trails white behind Camille as she zips to walls, and the stun on connect feels more visible to me. Could be wrong here but I think the hitbox reads cleaner with the white particles against most map surfaces.

R is where it gets good. The Hextech Ultimatum drops with the iG logo visible in the cage zone. Played maybe 40 games with this skin last season in Diamond and trapping their ADC with that branded cage never gets old. The recall animation shows Camille doing a victory pose with the Summoner’s Cup, which is a nice touch for esports fans.

Voice lines stay base. No new VO, which is standard for Worlds skins at this tier. Emily O’Brien’s original performance carries fine though.

The Worlds 2018 line and release context

iG Camille dropped April 23, 2019, alongside the rest of the Invictus Gaming championship set. Pan Chengwei handled the artwork and honestly nailed the composition. The splash captures that mid-dive moment perfectly, legs extended, blades catching light.

The World Champions: 2018 skinline covers iG’s full roster from their championship run. Camille fits naturally since TheShy was an absolute monster on her that tournament. If you watched those games you know why this skin exists. (Random aside: I still rewatch that finals series when I need motivation for my own ranked grind.)

One chroma available, the Elite variant. It swaps the black-and-white scheme for a blue and gold palette. Think royal vibes. Kinda feels like the Elite chroma turns it into a completely different skin, the gold accents on her blades look premium. Legacy vault skin though, so you cant just grab it whenever you want. Sits in the vault and comes out during special events or Worlds season typically.

Is iG Camille worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: if you play Camille and you care about esports history at all, this is a must-own. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The VFX are clean without being distracting, the model is one of the sharpest in her lineup, and that R cage with the iG logo is genuinely cool.

Where it falls short compared to something like Arcana Camille or Coven Camille is the lack of new voice work and the simpler particle set. But thats the trade-off at this price point. For splitpush sessions where you’re locking in Camille and looking to dive backline carries, the skin performs. Last Tuesday I had a game where I E-flashed onto their Jinx under tier 2 tower and the white hookshot trail looked cinematic.

Main downside is availability. Legacy catalog means you might need to wait for a vault opening or get lucky with Hextech crafting. If it shows up in Your Shop or during a Worlds event, dont sleep on it. Top pick for Camille mains who want something understated. Skip this if you need flashy transformations or legendary-tier production, but for a clean competitive-themed skin, iG Camille delivers. Been my go-to Camille skin this season whenever I’m not running Coven, and I keep coming back to it for ranked specifically.
