Bewitching Senna

Not gonna lie, when Riot dropped Bewitching Senna during the 2022 Halloween event I wasnt expecting much. Senna already had solid skins and the Bewitching line felt like it peaked with Morgana years ago. But then I saw the splash and the in-game model and changed my mind pretty fast. Played maybe 15 games with it that first weekend in Diamond and the whole vibe just clicked. Witch hat Senna with ghostly green VFX on the Rift? Yeah. Works better than it should.

VFX and the actual skin changes

This is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP so you get new particles, a new recall animation, and updated ability VFX. Voice lines stay base, no changes there. The Q heal shoots out with this spectral green and purple energy that reads way cleaner than base Senna in teamfights. Might be overthinking it but I swear the auto-attack wind-up feels smoother with this skin on, even though thats obviously placebo.

Her W, Last Embrace, sends out a ghostly hand that wraps targets in what looks like magical vines. Spooky stuff. The E shroud gets a dark purple mist treatment that honestly makes it harder for the enemy backline to track your ADC inside it. At least thats how it felt in my ranked games around 1 AM last October.

The ult is where this skin earns its price. Dawning Shadow fires this massive beam of green witchcraft energy across the map. Big visual upgrade from base. The recall has Senna stirring a cauldron with her cannon, which is a nice touch for the Halloween theme. Simple change – huge impact on how the skin feels moment to moment.

(Random aside: the recall animation is genuinely one of my favorites in the game, I leave it running just to watch it sometimes between waves.)

The Bewitching line and release context

Bewitching Senna released October 20, 2022. Season 12, right before the preseason chaos. Huyy Nugyen and West Studio handled the artwork, and they captured the witch fantasy without making it look generic. The Bewitching skinline is one of Riot’s Halloween staples at this point. Senna fits the aesthetic naturally since her whole kit already has that dark ethereal energy going on.

Legacy vault skin, so you cant just grab it whenever. Gotta wait for the Halloween event shop or get lucky with Hextech crafting. Been spamming this in Diamond whenever October rolls around and its become my default Senna pick for the season.

8 chromas total. Obsidian is my go-to, it turns the whole palette dark and moody which pairs perfectly with the witch theme. Rose Quartz gives it a softer pink energy that reads almost like a different skin entirely. Pearl is clean if you want something lighter but honestly Obsidian just hits different for the spooky vibe. Rest are fine but those two carry.

Should you pick up Bewitching Senna?

Real verdict: this is a strong Epic skin that does exactly what 1350 RP should do. You get meaningful VFX changes on every ability, a solid recall, and the thematic execution is on point. Could be wrong here but I think this sits comfortably in the top three Senna skins if you care about visual clarity in lane.

The Bewitching theme gives Senna a personality that her base and some other skins dont quite nail. Been maining Senna with this equipped since season 12 and keep coming back to it even after picking up newer options. That ranked game where my Kayn inted three times before level 6 and I still carried with a cross-map ult? Bewitching Senna. The green beam just feels more satisfying to land.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. If you play Senna in the bot lane specifically, either as support or ADC in certain comps, this skin delivers. Skip it if you already own High Noon or Project and dont care about seasonal themes. But for Senna mains who want something with personality, Bewitching is the pick. Three things stood out: ult VFX, recall animation, Obsidian chroma. Worth the investment for anyone climbing with Senna this season.
