SKT T1 Olaf Skin - 1350 RP, Splash Art & Legacy Vault

SKT T1 winning Worlds 2016 was one of those moments where you just stopped and watched the VODs three times over. That roster was operating on another level, and Duke locking in Olaf for top lane pressure was a big part of why they had such brutal presence throughout that run. SKT T1 Olaf dropped June 27, 2017, roughly eight months after the championship. Been spamming it in solo queue whenever the Legacy vault opens up. Not the flashiest skin Olaf has. But theres a clean quality to it that holds up.

What actually changes on SKT T1 Olaf

Epic tier at 1350 RP, so more than just a texture swap. The model puts Olaf in the SKT T1 jersey with number detail on the back, and the VFX update covers the kit in the team’s blue and white palette. Q axe throw gets updated particle trails. The R Ragnarok activation has new VFX on proc – reads clearly mid-teamfight when Olaf dives the backline, which matters if you’re on the other team trying to track whether he’s unkillable yet. Fits the esports theme. Nothing overdesigned.

Custom recall too. It’s a brief celebration animation, reads like an acknowledgment of the actual pro player moment. Not gonna lie, Olaf doesn’t get recalls that feel earned very often – this one does. You know what surprised me? How clean it looks at the fountain when you’re cs-ing between waves in a long poke lane.

No new voice lines, same as every other non-Legendary in the World Champions: 2016 set. Voice pack is base only. Fine – Olaf’s default voice is aggressive enough that it doesn’t conflict with the jersey aesthetic.

World Champions: 2016 released June 27, 2017, covering the full starting lineup from SKT T1’s third title run. (Random aside: I was in champion select the day this dropped and almost missed my lock-in because I stopped to read the patch announcement.) Alvin Lee put in the work on the splash – the SKT T1 Olaf composition is confident, jersey detail is sharp, and unlike some esports splashes that feel like a last-minute photo edit, this one reads well at full resolution.

The line is Legacy vault now, not the permanent shop. Hextech crafting is your best access point since it’s loot eligible, but to actually buy SKT T1 Olaf you’re waiting on vault rotations. Seen maybe two or three of these in my Diamond games all season – not that common in circulation anymore.

Should you grab SKT T1 Olaf from the vault?

Kinda feels like this skin gets passed over in the World Champions: 2016 conversation. Everyone talks about the Lee Sin or the Zed from that line, and SKT T1 Olaf barely gets mentioned. That’s partly the champion – Olaf mains aren’t usually the ones spamming skins for clout, they’re the hard-stuck climbing types who lock in Olaf, hit R, and ult into the enemy backline ten games straight without thinking twice. This skin fits that player exactly. Clean, no unnecessary VFX noise, carries the esports identity without being loud about it.

The honest take: worth it if you main Olaf. New VFX across the full kit, custom recall that actually lands, clean model update for 1350 RP. If your goal is the flashiest Olaf skin available, look elsewhere. But as an esports tribute that respects both the champion and the run – SKT T1 Olaf earns the Epic price, no question.
