First time I saw SKT T1 Syndra load in, I thought it looked cleaner than most Worlds skins Riot puts out. Not gonna lie, the red and gold color scheme just works on Syndra. Something about the way her spheres pick up the SKT branding without looking like a walking billboard. Been running this in Diamond for a while now and it still holds up, even years after release.

How SKT T1 Syndra plays on the Rift

This is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, so you get new VFX and a custom recall animation. Voice lines stay base, no new VO. The spheres shift to this deep red with gold accents that read really well in teamfights. Your Q drops these crimson orbs onto the ground and honestly they pop harder than base, especially against the green of Summoner’s Rift. Easier to track your sphere count in a messy 5v5.

W pickup and toss keeps the red energy theme going. The scatter on E looks solid when you’re peeling for your ADC or catching someone out of position. Clean visual. Ult is where it shines though. Syndra’s R with those red spheres slamming into the backline just feels right. Played maybe 40 games with this skin last month and the VFX never got old.

Recall animation has Syndra lifting the Summoner’s Cup, which is a nice touch for the World Champions 2016 line. Could be wrong here but I think its one of the better recall animations in the Worlds skin lineup. Quick, clean, on-brand.

The Worlds 2016 line and release context

SKT T1 Syndra dropped June 27, 2017. Alvin Lee nailed the splash for this one. The pose captures Syndra’s power fantasy while keeping the SKT jersey recognizable. Season 7 release, back when Faker’s Syndra was genuinely terrifying to watch in pro play.

Part of the World Champions: 2016 skinline, celebrating SKT’s dominance that year. The whole set had that red and white aesthetic. Syndra fits the mage slot naturally since Faker was known for locking her in during crucial matches. Kinda feels like this skin carries more weight because of the player behind it.

There’s 1 chroma available, the Paragon version. Shifts the palette toward a teal and purple combination. (Random aside: the Paragon chroma is actually harder to find than you’d expect since most people just run the base red.) It’s a decent alternative if you want something less on-the-nose with the SKT branding, but personally I stick with the original colors. The red spheres are the whole point.

Legacy vault status and who should grab it

SKT T1 Syndra sits in the vault as a Legacy skin. Hextech only these days unless Riot brings Worlds skins back during an event. Saw maybe two of these in my games all last season, which honestly makes it feel more special when you do lock it in. Not the kind of skin you see every other ranked game in Diamond.

Real verdict: if you main Syndra and care about pro play history, this is worth hunting for in Hextech crafting. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The VFX upgrade is noticeable, the recall is thematic, and the splash holds up well. Compare it to something like Atlantean Syndra or Queen of Diamonds and SKT T1 wins on visual clarity alone.

Where it falls short is the lack of new voice lines, but thats standard for this price tier. Not a dealbreaker. The base Syndra VO works fine with the skin fantasy. If you’re a Syndra one-trick climbing through ranked and want something that stands out without going full Star Guardian, this is a strong pick. Last Tuesday I had a game where I caught their Kayn in river with a full combo and the red spheres looked absolutely clean on the kill screen. Worth it for moments like that.

Skip it if you already own Bewitching or Star Guardian and don’t care about the esports angle. But for Syndra mains who remember watching Faker’s mid lane prio with this champ, SKT T1 Syndra hits different. Top pick for anyone who wants their Syndra to carry a little history on the Rift.
