First time I saw the PROJECT: Jhin splash I set it as my desktop wallpaper and it stayed there for like two seasons. Not gonna lie, the cyberpunk assassin angle fits Jhin better than it has any right to. The whole “art through technology” thing already lives in his base kit, so wrapping him in neon circuitry and a sleek visor just works. Played maybe 40 games with this skin the week it dropped back in November 2017 and thats when I realized this was going to be a permanent lock-in for me.

What PROJECT actually changes on Jhin

The model is clean. Jhin’s mask gets a full cybernetic overhaul with a glowing eye slit that pulses when you move. His coat has this angular armored plating look, deep purple and black with orange-red accent lines running through. Gun looks like something out of a sci-fi film. Heavier, more mechanical.

VFX is where this skin earns the 1350 RP. His Q bounces have this digital fragmentation effect, little data particles scattering on each target hit. W fires a clean laser-line with circuit patterns spreading from the root point. Been running this in Diamond ranked and the W snare visual is actually easier to track than base, which I appreciate when I’m trying to catch someone rotating through river.

E traps get the full PROJECT treatment. Digital lotus mines with a holographic bloom when triggered. Could be wrong here but I think the activation sound is slightly more distinct than base, makes it easier to notice in a chaotic teamfight around dragon pit. The R though. Curtain Call. Four shots with trailing light streams, the final fourth shot has this massive digital detonation effect. Last Tuesday I was sniping from behind baron pit and the kill confirm visual on the fourth shot was genuinely satisfying. The whole ult channel overlay gets the neon treatment too.

Recall animation has Jhin assembling his weapon from digital components, piece by piece. Very on-brand for the Virtuoso. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which honestly is fine because Quinton Flynn’s original performance is already S-tier. You dont want to mess with perfection there.

The PROJECT line and where Jhin fits

PROJECT dropped November 22, 2017. Season 7 was winding down. Alex ‘alexplank’ Flores nailed the splash, the composition with Jhin mid-performance surrounded by data streams captures the skin fantasy perfectly.

The PROJECT skinline is one of Riot’s most stacked rosters. Vayne, Yasuo, Ekko, Irelia. Jhin slots in naturally because his theatrical personality translates well into the augmented-human narrative. Kinda feels like he was designed for this line from the start. The cyberpunk aesthetic pairs with his obsession over the number four, the precision, the choreography of kills.

No chromas on this one. Zero. Which is a shame because I’d pay for a white and gold PROJECT: Jhin variant in a heartbeat. But Riot never circled back to it. Permanent shop availability, so at least you can grab it whenever. (Random aside: I have a friend who one-tricks Jhin and owns every skin but still defaults to PROJECT in ranked because he says the auto attack animations feel crispest on this one.)

Should you buy PROJECT: Jhin for 1350 RP?

Real verdict: this is top three Jhin skins and might be number one depending on your taste. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX across every ability, a strong recall, and one of the best model redesigns in the PROJECT line. The competition is Dark Cosmic Erasure if you want maximum spectacle, or Blood Moon for the traditional vibe. But PROJECT hits different for anyone who wants the clean futuristic look.

Been maining Jhin with this skin on and off since season 8. Spammed it through my Diamond climb in season 9 I think or 10 dont remember exactly. The skin just reads well in lane, the auto attack fourth-shot VFX is visually distinct enough that your support knows when you’re about to chunk someone in bot lane. Simple change from base – huge impact on how the kit feels. If you play ADC and Jhin is in your rotation at all, PROJECT is the safe pick that never disappoints. Skip it only if you already own Dark Cosmic and feel committed to that aesthetic. Otherwise this is the Jhin skin if you can only own one in the Epic tier.
